Take notes about the problems you had the last time you played and the last tourney you played in and work on those areas.

where can I find the mother drills?

I don't always have an hour and its usually not uninterrupted(kids like to watch and ask questions), but am always looking for more drills.

Scott Lee and RandyG have the mother drills and they will help you if work them. I do not think people post them (the drills that is) out of respect for these two great teacher of the game. Also if you do not understand what these guys teach you would probably not get as much out these drills. They help you focus on singular aspects at a time while doing these drills.

I do not know how well you play but a private lesson or group lesson with these guys is definitely well spent for players of all levels from banger to champion.

Having taken a lesson or two over the years I have to say that Scott Lee is money well spent.

Don't you think this could make you focus on your weaknesses. As much as is makes sense, this seems to me to be an anti-confidense builder.

Yes this will be an anticonfidence builder, but think about it in the long run. Anytime you work on something that you are having trouble with in matches you are sure to lose some confidence and miss shots you otherwise wouldn't, but here is the key. Once you get to where the shots you were having trouble with come easy your confidence will go through the roff with your game because then you will know you can make anything and do not have to land perfect on every ball in the rack. Look at Tiger Woods for example - he was on top of the world decided to retune his swing and went through a little slump but then came back to win the British open only hitting driver once- how crazy is that.

you must learn your weaknesses .. but if you master your form the weaknesses will mostly go away

but honestly each Mother Drill can be
completed in roughly half an hour..

if you do the warm up I posted earlier.. and pick a drill for the day and mix them up MD1 and MD 2 are taken care of with the warm up..

though I think a day for each speed control drill would be necessary.. also the stop shot drill is a must..pick and roll is a must, tangent line is a must

that covers one hour a day for 5 days..

I'd take one of the remaining days and play straight pool.( the mother game). and take the 7th day off so you don't burn yourself out..

I am amusing you are devoting one hour a day to practice .. and devoting more time to actually playing...

because if you have 2 or more hours a day to devote to pool total... I have a weekly workout that I will share with you that breaks my week up into playing days and training days... I don't play on training days and I only do my warm up on playing days..

and it is working out REALLY well for me.
