1 Pocket - Shot After The Break

Obv the first time I skim off of the balls I'm going to free up a couple from that pack (unless you glued them together). So this return doesn't even exist.

Just go back and make up a random spread after my shot and show your return, this could be fun

It is no easy task controlling the cueball with that shot.Preventing the cueball from scratching,while still sliding between the 6-10 is WAY more difficult than it seems.

I think that if you just play the cue ball then its relatively easy to get behind the 6 as Mosoniac diagrammed. There is about a foot between the 6 and the pocket to get between so it should be easy to get it there as long as you do not let yourself get distracted by what you are trying to do with the 15. Just let what happens with the 15 happen and don't try to make too much out of it; the power of the shot is in the repositioning of the balls not necessarily making one ( although that would be nice ).

In this situation I like the 15ball bank into the stack but if I am in a corner and it looks like I can't do anything except extend the pain, I will come out on the very first shot going for my hole (blasting), especially against a top player in a tournament setting.

Well,in order to do this,you need to indicate exactly where your cueball will end up.If I think it is feasible,then I will know the speed with which you hit the shot and can determine the layout from there.I did move some balls after thinking of your move.If you look at the before and after,you see that.So go back and indicate the EXACT spot the cueball will stop and we'll go from there

Since I see the word "aggressive" in your post, the first thing I look for is a dead ball. Here is something close to Mosconiac's but I am "twist-banking" it with more juice on the cb...

Yeah, Wei, I left the lines off on purpose to see what others had to suggest.

As for your shot, I like hiding the CB behind the 6 better than kicking the 10 so I don't give my opponent shots at the 9, 4 or 5.

It's a trivial response...bank the 15 at the stack and let the CB cruise behind the 6. If the 15 hits the 13, the 7 will travel to your pocket...if you hit the 3/8 the 2 will combo the 11 to your pocket. Lots of good things will happen no matter how well you hit it.

What if you can't see enough of the 15? Here's a shot that could turn the game around. Hit the cue ball below center with right english.


Nice. Seems like you could also play that one to come back and hit the 1 (as long as you're being a hero).

Yikes! My momma warned me about playing with fireworks but I had to learn on my own. At 18 years of age, a Cherry Bomb while I was trying to throw it high into the air, removed ALL of the skin from one side of my hand. Wearing a plastic bag (to prevent dirt and infection from setting in) around my hand for weeks didn't cure me of all of the fireworks, just the cherry bombs.
