What constitutes a 10 ball break? Does it count when the 10 goes in one of the corner pockets by the rack spot or is it the other way around? TIA

You win if you make the 10 on the break.
 
Yeah, 10 ball is just 9 ball with one extra ball. Hopefully they will keep adding balls until they get to 15, and then they will let us shoot them in any order and call it straight pool. :)

j/k of course and hoping we go full circle back to that great game.
 
I read that it didn't count at all in some tourneys, and in others it counted only when dropping into one of the corner pockets on the breaking end of the table.

In some tourneys that might well be the case....because no matter where you go in the world, one thing about pool is a cert.....you will find local bars and tourneys where the regulars will berate your ignorance by saying to you something along these lines...... " Of course you must shoot the 8 ball left handed standing one one leg when it's the first Friday of Lent, sheesh dude:rolleyes: where do you come from, outer space?.....don't you know anything about the rules of pool?!!! "

What does "count" mean? What does "the other way around" mean?
