Well I feel bad for the 97th person that tried to enter the tourney. He/She could have played and would have probably shown up.

Just read somwhere that TheOne (Craig Riley) just lost his match to Manuel Gama in a hill-hill match, 10 games to 9...
 
Does anyone know what cue does Earl plays with these days now that cuetec dropped him....

Earl Story:

I was walking with Shane in the parking lot of Bankshot Billiards headed inside for the players meeting, when we hear " 7 to nothing huh?" (for those under a rock Shane lost 7-0 to Dennis Orculluo in the finals of the BCA last Saturday) we look over and there is The Pearl in all his glory. Shane just laughs and shakes head. Earl says "You got your first taste of humiliation. I have tasted a lot of it recently" he then added "Race to 7 alternate break if the corner ball is going for the other guy that can happen" He was actually pretty cool.

This is one helluva stellar field that has assembled in Jacksonville! I can't find the money added amount anywhere. Anyone know how much dough has been put up for the contest?

Updates are a bust

Does anyone have updates? AZ is doing a poor job of updating the brackets. Are there any other web sites doing the tournament brackets other than AZ?:(

Here's the way the updating usually works, at least my understanding of it.

AzBilliards cannot update anything unless somebody contacts them with the information from the event.

If nobody at the Florida 10-ball tournament sends the updated information to AzBilliards, then AzBilliards can't update us on the Main Page, unfortunately.

Now, there are some posters who are there who may update us. I think Tony Crosby is shooting in this tournament, and you may check out his website. He's usually updating when he's in attendance: http://www.tonycrosby.com

I am anxious to see if Danny Harriman or Shawn Putnam will face Shane VB in the next round. I am betting it will be Danny.

Poor Kim Shaw, won her first match, and now has to play Johnny Archer.
