$100,000 Tournaments In The USA

Do yo think it is still possible to run a $100,000 Pro/Open tournament that you can at least break even on in a non-casino in the USA? I'm thinking at this time the answer is no. I haven't seen one lately that paid purses they put on the flyer/webpage. Johnnyt

YEP....only sure way is to have 100 players pay a 2000 dollar entry fee, give them back 100K, and use the other 100K for expenses.

Get Tiger Woods, Lebron James, Bill Gate, Buffet to chip in, it is like $1.00 dollar to them! let them consider it tax deduction to the pool players cause!!!!

just thik about the way you phrased it, why in the world would anybody waste their time and money on anything, they might,"Break even on"?
Woithout sponsors, vendors, and even calcuttas and other money coming in, it is highly unlikely.
When promoters are putting things together, they should listen to the vendors more. if they get excited, you are probably onto something. If not, there is usually a problem with the plan.
