can someone maybe ATLARGE or DMGWalsh fill in the list ?

would be great if we had the players name and the run value.

So Thorsten Hohmann has 3 runs over 100 and Daren Appelton has none!
Who has the edge in today's final to 300?

Thorsten Hohmann 179 Daren Appelton 59
I think Thorsten Hohmann ended turn with 125 ball run.

The run was 126 (13, plus 8 full racks of 14, plus a break shot). 180-59 currently (they haven't put the break shot up on the cards yet).

On the way home I realized my high run was only 109. It was a great event with champions almost every direction you look.

Looks like the final count is 17 runs of 100 or more.

Steve -- did you win your bet?

It seems like running 100 at the elite level is about the same occurance as running a 3 pack in tournament play.

Let's see.

In the round-robin portion of the event, we had 3 runs of 100 or more out of 168 matches. Since there were two sides to each match, that makes 3 100+ runs from 336 "players," or 0.9%.

In the double-elimination portion of the event, we had 6 runs of 100 or more out of 24 matches or 48 "players," for 12.5%.

In the single-elimination portion of the event, we had 8 runs of 100 or more out of 15 matches or 30 "players," for 26.7%.

And combining all three portions of the event, we had 17 100+ runs in 207 matches or 414 "players," for 4.1%. Excluding the short games to 100 points, it was 14 of 78 (17.9%).

Now, I wonder what the frequency is of running a 3-pack in 8-Ball, 9-Ball, or 10-Ball?

You if anyone has that data:) I think it will be comparable. We always hear "such and such ran a 5 pack", but anytime we watch a ppv major tournament in 9 or 10 ball they rarely get to a two pack.

In this event, as soon as the matches were extended above 100 points, the 100 ball runs went through the roof.

Running 100 is mostly skill based. Running racks of 9/10 is mostly luck based on the break.
