10k added mens 8ball, 3k added open 9ball, 3k added womens 8ball

I'm sorry but the numbers just don't add up. After quarters, there really wasn't any money added, but it was advertised as such.


A $10 greens fee is very reasonable for a tournament of this magnitude. At least I know exactly what my expenses are going to be. This is important if I am traveling 13 hours to get there.

You can't really compare a local tournament to an event with $16,000 added.

When considering barbox events the races and added are a consideration for sure.

This is the 21st annual event here and it fills. Each year they continue to make it better than the previous year.

Better get your entry fee in. 128 man limit. I'm bringing 6 players myself.

1. This added money is added to the tournament purses or the Calcutta????

2. The Calcutta is just for the final 32 players only????
3. How much money in that Calcutta normally?
4. Do you have any payout figures from last year's event?
5. Also, Ray, are you driving to North Dakota for this event?

Checking on flights.......

The best Airport is Minot. The Casino will have a shuttle!

Added $$$$ is added to the purse, I will get the cacutta numbers today sometime, nearest airport is minot nd, the committee or casino can pick players up if u let me know in advance. 20k was paid out to the top 32 men in the 8ball, $4500.00, trophy and jacket for 1st place last year. Womens 1st place was $1000.00. And I will get the 9ball and calcutta figures when I get to my computer.

$20,000 for the top 32 players is awesome. Looking forward to hearing how much money was in the Calcutta and how it was paid out.

Have you had any Sask players in the past?
Many good native players from our neck of the woods.

We most likely will be coming if Robley is going to be there.

Half a days drive for us, maybe a little more.

Yes Terry there are always saskatchewan players there.... I'll be making the trek on down with a traveller or too perhaps! It's only 4 hours or a little more away if I remember correctly.... I know we had to buy another 26 of rye at the border to make it home anyways. p.s. had a sober driver lol

rooms filling fast, we have rooms blocked for players, if you call the casino they will say there are no rooms, please contact me for rooms, i do have rooms but they are filling fast. no credit card required to hold your rooms, paid entries will be given rooms 1st.

If you don't get a room at the casino, you are S.O.L. The nearest hotel is 75 miles!!! Get those reservations and entries in!!

Mike Page's poolroom, Fargo Billiards & Gastropub is about 270 miles from Minot, ND. There doesn't seem to be an awful lot of towns between them.

Are the roads relatively safe for travel during this time of the year? Are there any "dead cell areas" between them? Just curious.....

If I'm not mistaken, Mike has a "Spring" pool tournament around this time of the year....

@Joey - Mike's room in Fargo is ONE of the reasons I'm driving to this.

Most hwys these days have towers as truckers depend on them for communication. It IS God's country though.

@ Robley - I'm sure SVB will be in attendance, Lee huwagon is the defending champion he will likely be there, also I have verbals from Brandon Shuff, Robb Saez and Josh Newman.

Lee huewagen is defending champ,he will be here, also rory hendrickson, and shane vb, yea fargo billiards is awesome place, rory hendrickson works there and also has attended our tournament for the past 20 years I don't think he has missed a year. shane said he will probly be here pending commitments/schedule. jessee engel said he will be attending again. Also we are getting alot of calls from candian players. Weather is usually good that time of the year. Roads should be no problem, alot of traffic because ot the oil boom happening in the western part of the state, our area.
