POOL PLAYERS can Win $12,500 package for the 2008 WSOP in Las Vegas

The other night, a poker friend from Vegas called my boyfriend up to tell him about this new website. He knows my boyfriend has been playing Internet poker for a long while and has not picked up a cue stick. However, he knows my boyfriend can play pool.

Then I get an e-mail from a member of this forum about this same website stating a winner of this website can get a seat at the upcoming WSOP tournament.

I mosey on over to the website, http://www.PoolStars.com and, lo and behold, there is Nick van den Berg's name in the number-one spot who just won something. This is INTERNET POOL, friends.

I don't know how difficult it is, but I am going to download the site for my boyfriend and let him have a go at it.

Anyone here play on this website?

If Nick van den Berg is a winner, then there must be some skill needed to be proficient on this PoolStars.com website.

I am going to checking it out tonight with my boyfriend. I wonder if you need any additional hardware, like a joystick, to execute shots.

JAM, What Sites does Keith Play on?

Full Tilt and Poker Stars, of course!

He has two different names, though. Sometimes he plays under my brother's account. :D

I saw Keith at the BCA in Columbus, Ohio and when he walked by me I asked him if you were there. He looked at me like I was stalker or something so I then told him I had talked to you on AZ Billiards and was just going to say 'hi'. I guess that sounded good to him and he smiled and said you weren't there. Anyway, I was hoping to meet you and Keith so maybe some other time.

I don't think it was the BCA in Columbus that you saw Keith. However, it could have been the Glass City Open in Toledo, Ohio.

I dropped him off there and returned home the same day. :p

You do not need a joystick. I looked at the website on my break it gives you step by step directions for each shot. you can adjust the speed the spin and draw. You even can adjust the cue to curve around object balls it is the closest thing to real pool on a game ever. For those who know pool this is awesome :D

Thanks for the helpful info. I can't wait to see how it works. I think Keith is going to really like this website, ESPECIALLY if he has a shot to win a seat at the WSOP in Vegas. Man, does he love Vegas! :D

Keith is trying to play this PoolStars right now.

He looks like somebody who has never hit a ball before. :D

His handle is "McCready." He needs lessons. A friend of his from Vegas is helping him now on the phone.

I don't see how anybody can make a ball on this thing. Maybe it will become more clear later.

You can play for real money on this website, too. However, each person is given 1,000 play money to start.

Nick van den Berg already is the leader for this week.

There are players on this website from around the world. This is pretty cool, the graphics are great, but I still don't understand how one can put english on a ball, draw your rock, or jump a ball using a mouse. :D

Please have K call me w/ some lessons. I signed up but dont even know how to aim the cue. Very hard for a video game..........Oh tell him I just came in 38th. out of 10,000 in that free roll for two dimes on pokerstars........

If for some strange reason I won this free poker seat, can I sell it? I couldl'd make that trip with my health and don't play poker well anyhow? Johnnyt

Very good, Frankie. I hope you won a little cheese on the free roll! :)

I don't understand that pool website either. How do you aim the cue? When I tried it, the butt end of the cue is always elevated. I don't know how to level the cue, much less hit a ball with it.

If Nick van den Berg is number one on this forum, then, by George, it must take a little pool knoweldge to become proficient. However, I still don't get it.

Ronnie Allen and a Vegas buddy called last night and said they were playing on it, and that they won $5,000. You can play for real money. Keith then became very interested in learning how to aim the computer-driven cue. You should have seen him, trying with all his might! He'd hit the object balls, and nothing would fall. :D

We found out later that they were only joking with Keith. :o
