Did Predator make a 12 piece shaft ??

If so, what were the supposed benefits of this shaft ??

Can they be had now ??

What would there value be and is there anyone I could get one from ??

Thanks, Tommyd1

> I've seen very early Predator shafts that were 1 piece, and also 6 and 12 piece before they finally settled on 10.

The older ones seemed to hit much firmer, and didn't have the "stripes" you see on newer versions. Tommy D.

I've played with Predator cues/shafts since 1996. I have over 50 Predator cues, mostly Limited Editions and Special Editions. I have several shafts that have 8 piece pie structure, some with 1" factory ferrules, before they settled on the 10 piece pie and shorter ferrule, but I have yet to buy a 12 pie piece Predator shaft. From the information I have been able to find IMHO the 12 piece Predator shaft is very rare.

Thanks John, I was at a Tournament last night and the guy's were talking about the Predator 12 piece shaft.

I guess one of the guy's at another room I frequent has one on a SP Butt, I'll have to give it a try.

Thanks for sharing your pictures of your Predators and your Jerry - R's on occasion.

pred did offer 2 versions early. my original was 12 wedge shaft. very stiff. i loved it. very hard to find and some will pay high amount for them when they popup

John,

I frequent a Pool Hall called the Ball and Cue in Lincoln Park, Michigan.

The owner is a fellow a guy named Jessie, he has three of these shafts still in the original wrapper.

I doubt if he wants to sell them, he seems to hoard stuff but I'll ask.
