121 Ball Run VIDEO

I still feel that 200+ is the benchmark for a world class run though, I live in hope! :p

If you continue at the rate you've been going, I have no doubt in my mind that you could crack the 200 mark sometime in the future. It might not happen right away but I believe you have the ability to do it!

Thanks for the video too.

My last question about your snooker experience.

I have been practicing by using regular pool balls on a snooker table. I do this to improve my ball pocketing.

Have you ever done this? If yes did you see an even bigger improvement in your pool game?

Thanks

Hi SLim, no I never did that. I like many other payers I know did/do practice Snooker aswell as pool. The obvious draw back is switching between ball size/weights and making an adjustment. I don't think this is a big deal though so I would reccomend just playing a bit of snooker in addition to pool. I haven't played Snooker in over a year now and my potting accuracy has definately dimished.

hi, craig. watched the hole darn thing, and amazing :)

what i loved:

- the strickland imitation with the housecue and at the end with the jumpcue.
- your msn friends loging on :p
- u can see and feel the frustration after a bad positional shot.

and i would have played safe on the last ball :p

nah, really. gratz m8!!. and dont forget, one day i might play a eurotour and i hope we can do some chatting.

now some questions:
- is that a 9ft?
- how do you feel the dynamics play compared to GC's, clash competition II, gabriels, diamonds etc?
- did u buy it new or did u get it 2d hand from a EK, or a eurotour?
- how do you convince your g/f to put a table in the middle of the livingroom? (really need some help on this one :p)
- how much did the searching for the other bridgehead , messed up your concentration? i think if u didnt had to spend so much time on the details, u would have put enough power to get above that last ball. i watched the video on the tip of couch all the time, but felt a laps of concentration when u where looking in your bag. who knows, maybe if u didnt had to do so, u would have run a 100 more.

thx for posting it on youtube!! i think i can talk for every 14-1 lover, these video's are a goldmine of information.

ps blackjack really gives good info on 14-1. his vision of the game is inspiring.

keep up the good work, and come and play in belgium one day, so we can meet.

TheSingle,VerySmallIndeedDigit,
Very well done. Thanks for taking the time to post it. I think it's only a matter of time before you get that 200.

Are you thinking of attending the U.S. Open Straight Pool event in Louisville in November???

Hi mate, yeah lost it a few times lol, changing cue prob didnt help but shot before was where I messed up. 9ft plays quite tight at medium pace or greater down the rails. From final of Euro TOur second hand, good price.

As for the gf, thats easy I left her lol!

TheSmallNumber,
I believe Mark Griffin is trying to make this an annual event; simultaneously running the U.S. Open in banks, one-pocket, and straight pool. You can find information on it at www.derbycityclassic.com (it may have its own site, but I'm not sure what it is). I think it is under the heading CueOlympics - or something like that.

If you make it, definitely try to set aside a little time for a visit to Betmore's Basement - Just 2 hours from Louisville; free lodging/food/pool/beverages, and occasionally some really good straight pool competition drops by (maybe we can convince sjm to make the trip for the event). If we knew ahead of time, we could get some warm-up matches arranged with some of the better local players.

Hi Willie, I just checked out the site and it looks really great except for 1 thing! Its the same dates as the 9 Ball World Championships - doh!!!

Geez what is it with pool, Matchroom announced these dates over a year ago when it moved the WPC to November. Its such a shame because from my point of view this almost looks better than DCC because I prefer 14.1, 10 ball, and 8 ball.

Hopefully theyll resolve this or its going to be a pretty weak event.

World Pool Championships from November 3-11

TheOne, great run and great share! I wonder if there is an original 800 Mb file you could share, and if the audio is better that way. Tried to drop you an email about it but it wasn't delivered I suppose.
Cool to see you are going to visit Manila this year. I did it last time and loved it so much that would definitely try to go there again. If we happen to do that I'd love to meet you at the table taking some lessons of 14.1. With my record lower than 50 there is no doubt who's gonna be a teacher :)

Hi, I did reply to it but your email address got bounced! PM me your email and I'll send it again.

Cheers

Craig

I didn't have time to watch the whole thing:( - but I will when I do;) . Nice shooting from what I saw! :)

Happy Birthday.

Dude, great shooting, sat here and watched the first 21 minutes of it. Gonna watch the rest tomorrow at work. good job!

Craig:

Great shotmaking, great shape on the break ball, but something doesn't look right. My eyes would go where I would have put the cueball, but it would go somewhere else, leaving a semi-hard shot.

Where did you place the microphone? Sounds like you have one in each pocket!
