14.1 beginner breaking

The importance of practicing the lefty BS - is even greater when playing on the 5x10, as even taller players will have a stretch from southpaw side of the table. This is where the Pro's should be playing Straight Pool anyhue'.
Dan,
Just curious: Do you find side pocket BSs more tempting on the 10 ft. Diamond? The only old 10’ tables I ever played on weren’t the typical modern styled (Century/Anniversary/GC/etc.) Brunswick, and I don’t really remember how tight the pockets were (just thinking about Greenleaf’s reputed predilection). Well worn slower nap cloth & clay balls could have made long shots into a corner more risky by comparison back then (?).

Red region should be named after someone whose last name starts with R.

The limit of the red region is when contact between CB and OB is just about to explode.

The closer a player can strike the CB and OB at the thinnest intersection point, is the highest indicator of how straight a player shoots.
Today's measurement and recording systems can clearly identify players shooting at 99.99% straight accuracy. Any straighter and they blow up.

That is why 14.1 is called straight pool.

Very different skill than playing 15 rails and position, that is powerlifting.

Are you off your meds?

Looks like an accident report.
