The format of this Invitational was unique and proved to be exciting, very exciting.
Shorter matches and extended runs produced the combination of pressure packed action
with each stroke of the cue, and the opportunity to run more balls than was ever possible
in a straight pool tournament. We at Accu-Stats are convinced that this is the new way to
present straight pool. Prize money was awarded for each win as well as bonus money for
runs of 100 or more. In most cases, the winner of each match was given the opportunity
to continue his run for bonus money. The double round-robin format resulted in each
player meeting twice. Twenty matches are featured on ten DVDs as well as three DVDs
with ?Player Reviews?.
Ten DVDs lasting about two hours each contain both the 60 point matches between the
same players. Three DVDs feature the ever popular ?Player Reviews? lasting about one
hour each. John Schmidt reviews his 169 ball run, while Thorsten Hohmann reviews two
of his runs, 112 and 149.
Bill Incardona and Danny DiLiberto shared commentary duties and were outstanding.
