14.1 or banks, which is the most popular?

Just a guess that straight pool still rules this contest but in my area bank pool seems to be growing a tad faster. I play several forms of one pocket so banking is a big part of my game. As much as I like to think I could get proficient at 14.1 playing the game reminds me I suck.
I believe the answer is going to be very regional. In the north east, there is lots of straight pool but banks is nearly non-existent. In my area, bank is king and the I only know of 3 people who play 14.1 with any regularity, and I am one of them, lol.

Certainly there are some areas where bank pool is popular but generally speaking 14.1 has got to be played way more. And if you're talking globally, it isn't close.
