O.K.....as we all know my last thread is getting kinda outta hand, so I'm gonna start another one.
I was watching the 2000 14.1 worlds and Grady was commenting on how big the pockets were on the Gold Crowns, and that causing so many 100 ball runs. We all know how tough the diamonds pockets are, AND how few 100 were run this year.
some random thoughts...
>IMO I'm not for wedged sub-4-1/2" pockets for 14.1.....it just limits the shot selection too much for the game to be played "traditionally". Lets see who picks up on this little comment!
>Up here in the north east the standard good 14.1 table was a snuggish double shim GC. Super tight tables are for 1 pocket IMO.
>I like seeing long runs, and sometimes you just never get to the table! just the nature of the beast
