15 Ball (Rotation) or 9 and 10 Ball Changes Needed

Why even consider this?
9 and 10 ball is currently too easy to run.

If not Rotation 15 ball, I believe the pockets should be tighter (4 inch or tighter), the 9 or 10 must be made by banking, use the 3 balls past the string rule on breaks, after the flip or lag (loser breaks).

What are your thoughts?
 
Since all the games are to easy for you maybe you should find another sport .

Well my thoughts are , do you want chess or pool ? Personally the only change I would make would be in the tables not in the games played , i would tighten pockets and put slower cloth on them ,

Tighter pockets would be the very least change I would consider.
 
8 ball with 21 balls that's a great idea might to be much traffics and really slow the game down but I'm thinking maybe 9 of each suit and an 8 ball so 19 total. That would be a good game. Pool is definitely too easy sometimes for top players. I feel there isn't any play especially in a tournament race to 9, 9 ball let alone bar table. Real matches should be race to 15 or 21 call shot and pockets 4 inches.
 
8-ball, rotation, or maybe some one-pocket with a baseball set? Could be fun. :thumbup:

We don't need gaff games , snooker is doing just fine ,, I can go with longer races on tight tables with single elimination, double elimination is a joke , what sport has that other than pool it should always be one n done at pro level just make the race longer

Or, if you weinerschnitzels really need to play 9ball, at least play the "pool" game like it's meant to be played, with multiple players, backers, and a money ball.

Agree here but the problem is you pros are too damn slow. Races to 15-21 on 4" pockets would take forever. Us amateurs copy what you pros do and would take even longer.

What about 8 ball rotation? Does that game work?

Of course, the real way to improve the game is eliminate safeties...

Also I think Justin assumed Mr. Bond was replying to him directly when he was just speaking in general terms.

I'm pretty sure Mr. Bond is well aware that he can't beat Justin Bergman at pool.

I'd rather see a revolution in the types of games being played than the tables. At what point does a super tight table become a "gaff" table? If you want a tight table, then why not just completely jump to the tables used in Chinese 8-ball. I personally think that not being able to fire a ball down the rail makes the game something else other than pool. Like you said, snooker is doing just fine.

Who ever came up with the 15 ball restriction for pool games? Let's eliminate it...at least for pro 8 ball.
