.

Do you know what was on the cover of that issue? I might be able to remember if I have it or not if you can tell me what was on the cover. I didn't have a subscription but think I may have bought whatever month interested me from Barnes & Noble. Otherwise, I gotta dig:(

im not sure what was on the cover i have contacted the magazine and they are trying to dig but that isnt looking really well. :( im just hoping that with all the talent on here that maybe someone was getting the issues back then and saved them like i used to before my divorce, ex threw out all magazines, i had all "The Snap" magazines, pool and billiards and billiards digest. Years of these gone:mad:

I feel for ya! I have a COMPLETE run of Billiards Digest, including the Vol. 1 No. 1 autographed by Jim Rempe. I'm missing 5 to 7 recent issues, because I didn't have a subscription at the time and B & N quit carrying it. I have The Snap except for the first one, I think.
If you don't have anything by this afternoon, EST, I'll take a look but I can't promise anything. I didn't like P & B enough to subscribe.

I really appreciate your reply and your efforts. Thanks so much! I will have a new outlook if i can find this:grin:

Okay. I'm going to dig into my pool library as well. I should have them in chronological order, but right now they are all spread out with little stickies on them for future reference. LOL!

I just might have what you're looking for, though. I have many pool mags and newspapers, some of which have been kindly given to me as a gift and others which I purchased.

I'm SURE I have it! The problem is finding it among my boxes and boxes of old mags. One day I will actually go in and try to organize it all in chronological order. It may take days to do it though. I also have most of the old issues of The Snap. Send me an e-mail for my list to jayhelfert@yahoo.com

You may have given me the incentive to begin arranging my old mags and newspapers. I'll try to do it later this month after Galveston.

Happy Friday Jay...

Hey my friend Jay...

In looking at your avatar...looks like Jalo has spotted a potential fish coming thru the door....you are already teaching her well and she is taking after daddy I see....just like papa....

Hope "BABY J" is and momma and you are all doing great and congrats again..

Jeff ps. (did I just give her her first nickname there???)

My inventory list shows that I have copies left, Johnny Archer and Vivian Villarreal on the cover, player of the year issue. Like most that have responded, mine are also in a huge pile, but, still in original shipping boxes and mint unread. If you don't receive what you need on here, let me know.

Sorry, I've been through all the boxes and I don't have that issue. As I said, I didn't keep up with P&B like I did Billiards Digest. I may have something from them that folks might like, however. We'll see.

I have it

the Feb 93 issue. What article would you like scanned?

The article he is looking for is in the March issue, not the February. The Music City Open...held at JOB's. I found the issue, and was going to have wifey scan it, but the scanner took a dump. It will be tomorrow before she can sort it out. If you can get it to him faster, I am sure he will appreciate your efforts.

Mick56, thanks for sharing that article and helping out a fellow forum member. You're the best. I have to wait 24 hours to spread it around again, but green rep is definitely coming your way!

That is an interesting article. Lots of pool stars mentioned in it. Nice to read about Grady, Cliff, Tony Ellin, Mary Kenniston, et al. Good read! :)

I had a whole box of pool mags that we threw to the curb to clear out what became our nursery. I should have had the sense to give them away here :( Sorry, guys...

Off topic...but the second page scan has the Baltimore WPBA tour stop. That was the first WPBA event I ever attended. Met Jeanette Lee just as she was heading towards #1. We chatted with Steve Tipton for quite a while. I also played Vivian Villareal in the challenge the pro and she was kind enough to let me win a game!
