16 Top Pros Battle for $20,000 FIrst Prize!

No way back for Jayson
12 racks behind. Justin has to win half the set to win while Jayson needs to win whole set
Extremely tough. Biggest margin comeback I recall in recent memory is Ko something like 11 racks behind Dennis. Li He Wen something like 10 or 11 racks behind Darren in W9B final
What happened to Jayson? Wasnt he flavor of month some months ago after beatin Diva Mika under 25 mins, destroying Morra in some sets , winning back2back TP

Thanks Jay. Was going to watch tomorrow but Now change my mind I would rather watch the Amcup Cup girls on 9 footers tomorrow
No offence to poolactiontv but not a fan of 7 footers LOL

:D

Capture.JPGWow what a match Bergman played

Shane has played this event before and got 2nd lost to sky woodward twice.
Did you see all the killers in this Shane might be a slight favorite but with this field
i think we will see some great pool and who ever breaks the best will win

Yeah, I agree. What I meant by a "huge favorite" was around 5/1 (which seems pretty huge in a field that strong). I see in the action forum he's 3/1. He's liable to string a few 4 or 5 packs together every set.

nice to see all the money added showing up in the prize fund.

Money added???? $34,000 total prize fund, of that....$32,000 is player added money, so only $2,000 is actually added money....which adds up to less than 7% added to the players fund:rolleyes:

I'm with you on this one Glen. I already take some heat for my position, but I do get people who also agree with me.

2k entry fees, why add anything at all? It doesn't really amount to anything in the grand scheme of things. The meals for free, I think that is incredibly cool and welcoming, but with those kind of entry fees you could just keep having 2k entry fee events every weekend and let the same money circulate.

Looking at the chart after round 1, I am always struck by the harsh reality of the opening round. Win your first match and the quickest path to victory is 4 straight wins. Lose your first match and the route requires 8 straight wins.

This sounds like an exciting and well run event. Good Luck!

But it is all added money to the players they all have sponsors in this event all the players have backers that put them in this. I dont think even 1 player here is on their own money even the top guys have a free roll without the backers these type events would never happen. Mike Mckuin the owner he works hard for months getting all the players sponsor money for the event some of the players have 3 or 4 guys putting up the cash.

As long as the backers are happy great deal for the players , the backers are getting odds on the money that they would not get backing a player in a one on one match 2k wins 20.

All the sweaters get a chance to see great players playing long races to 21 so it is win win deal all the way around lol!!

That is true and another harsh reality is 4 players go 2 matches and out after 2nd round 8 guys on the loser side half are out after next round
At least they get plenty of play races to 21 they have to lose 42 games before they are out.

Some other tournaments might state something like 5K money added, then only 2K actual makes it to the prize fund. In some cases none of the money added makes it. Here its stated 2K and the entire amount goes into the prize fund total.
