1890 brunswick balke collender

hello all. im from pa near downingtown. i have a 1890 brunswick balke & collender pool cue. it is all original. ivory center joint. speared maple with an original cork wrap handle. company logo on the bottom of cue in gold and red paint. original rubber butt hard due do the old age of the rubber. i was asking around 4000. would anyone possibly be interested? cruiserh83@gmail.com

Nice cue but to my knowledge, the decal pictured was from after the turn of the century not the 1890's. To my knowledge that decal was in use from around 1911 or 1912 until the late Teens.

If anyone has information other than what I have posted please post it, such as an advertisement in a catalog or other recorded information that is documented. I am always willing to learn something new, I have been and will be a student for the remaining of my life.

I think the pre 1900 cues had a white label. As far as price goes, I would like to know a value. $4,000 seems high unless it was a misprint.

Actually the White Labels were used in the early 1900's up until around 1911. The cues made in the 1800's that I have seen according to catalogs did not have a label. Now I have seen a few cues from the 1860's or 1870's and these had J. M. Brunswick stamped in the wood, the cues butts were Octagon in shape and simple one piece cues.
