Comments? I don't know how to add the link, but there is a cue that looks ALOT like the highly sought after mdl.360 on e-bay. The current bid is around 1600-1700.

old rare cue isn't it?

silence is just deafening on this cue! i'm not in the market but it will be interesting to watch this auction go down. funny how many people are not about to speak up, but i can't blame them. in this arena it wopuld be similar to telling where an L-88 corvette is in a story in hot rod magazine. NOT going to happen.

I hate to make predicitons on this, but I predict MTpockets4u will get it with 2.57 seconds to spare with a bid of $1699.98, beating Shorty by a single penny.

So what do you think is going through the guys head who put this up for auction.

What do you think he was expecting to get out of this cue? :)

mtpockets4u got beat out of a cue. Must have been a battle of the snipe programs.

Winning bid: $2,247.22

That cue moved about a grand in the last hour, went from 300 to 700 views in the same time frame.I know there are very few people that we credit with the ultimate veneer/splice work, but whoever did this was definitely a master.

looks like mt got beat
the winners snipe came in b/f mt's

Whats under the wrap? Who do you get to put the pin back in the shaft and do a decent job of resto. There should be an ivory joint.. There is probably another 1500 in resto.. thats finding someone to do it and do it correctly. But they are beautiful cues when they are done.

Thought I might get lucky on this one - it's the same Brunswick butterfly cue pictured in the new Blue Book (color section).

It appeared to have been rebuilt in the '70s with Schmelke-type joints added, losing a little off each end. I called a cuesmith this morning to discuss the possibility of replacing the joints with ivory without having to remove more of the splices/inlays. Because we were unsure, I left my bid at $1,800. If the 70-ish joint work hadn't already bitten off part of the original work, I would have bid in the $2,500 range and it would have been a bargain.

I'm surprised there was that heavy action on the cue. From my perspective, it needed a lot of resto work.
