Restoring a 1916 Madison.... which direction would you guys go in regards to the cushions?

And.... is there much of a market out there for these old beauties.... I really like my Diamond Pro and couldn't see switching it up

I'm also sitting on a Madison from around the same time-frame. (with the ball-return option) I'm trying to decide if I want to restore it - but it needs some fairly serious work...it's missing two whole rails, and much of the ball return woodwork.

anyone want to offer a quote for two whole rails?

Rubber Preference

How about the super speeds, Since it is a Brunswick? I personally would put on the black rubber from Diamond, but if you want a good rubber at a good price, Go with Championship. Thanks, Ron

Thanx for the suggestions Ron.... that's kind of where I'm at.... I would prefer superspeeds for the obvious reason, but I'm not really a fan of them. Got a dud set a few years back. I have no experience with Fleetwoods and I did not know Diamond rubber would work.... more homework coming. Thanx for the help.

Have you pulled the cloth off the rails yet? Hopefully you won't be surprised with a P37 type profile instead of K55 cushions.
Diamond Blacks and Tour Ed cushions are ok - just don't like the edges on the Champ cushions that need to be smoothed.

Agreed with the tour edition. Do not like the the round ness or the way they have grooves in them when the are glued to the rail. Top has like a groove in it that shows through felt.

surprise, it's got U23's under the cloth.... probably explains why they looked a little funny to me. Putting it back together again to check dimensions.

Thanx for the help guys
