'52 would have been right in the middle of the baby-boom and pool was still pre-'Hustler' days. Love to have a SportKing, solid no-frills table. What a great glimpse in to the history of brunswick and our sport
No you would not. The aprons are particleboard. Same rails and frame and slate as an Anniversary, so just bump up to that for nice wood everywhere'52 would have been right in the middle of the baby-boom and pool was still pre-'Hustler' days. Love to have a SportKing, solid no-frills table.

niiiiiice.Yup my mistake.
Played a lot of pool at a room in the early '60's that had 8 Anniversary tables, hardwood floors, peeling paint looked straight out of the 1940's.
Ran my first 100 ,101 to be exact on one in about 1964.
Composition balls and slow cloth.
Sure, but they warp and even crack if you bump them. Having just dismantled one and seeing the hollow legs and lack of subframe, it is apparent that the table is a step down in build quality. Not knocking your preference at all, I would have kept it if it was just a plainer Anniversary, but it's a pretty big step downi've only played on one and i liked it. just like the looks of it. couldn't care less what aprons are made of.
if i ever get lucky to find one i'll have my trim carpenter buddy make me some solid aprons. Anniv-Cennt. prices have gotten stupid unless its a complete basket case. Lots of rooms used SK's with no issues.Sure, but they warp and even crack if you bump them. Great find!!! How would you like that 24 cue rotating cue stand for $179.00??One thing this catalog answered for me was the score-counters. I've seen old B'wicks with and without them. Apparently(pg.28) they were a option. All of 19bux/pair in '52. http://www.palmercollector.com/Brunswick/Brunswick_1952_page_28.jpg Those ArtDeco-style 'urns' are beyond cool. $6.25 in '52.
They also did a matching can of cleaner which is harder to find.Very cool! I saw this on a Facebook group yesterday and thought it was cool.
