I have a friend that has a 1955 Brunswick Anniversary with Gold Crown ball return that he is considering selling. In 2002 while he was working at Beach Billiards in Santa Ana he had it completely re-finished by the Beach factory and it came out looking great. He set it up at his house and then had to move in 2005, into a house that would not accommodate the table. He had always planned on finding a new place to set it up but it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon so here we are. He is looking for somewhere in the $7500 to $8000 range. Again, I am posting for a friend so if you have any questions, give me a little time but I will get back to you. We are looking for photo's of the table set up and will post when we find them.
He also has a 10ft Gold Crown Snooker table if you happen to need one of those.

Do a search and you will see that era Anniversary with all original parts not even bringing 5K right now.

Your friend will need to adjust his sights very much downward if he wants to sell a hermorphadite table .

If you guys are going to rip a guy's asking price, we might as well turn this into a political thread..................

Sad, but true.

I'm only relaying what he has told me but the way it was explained was that in 1955 Brunswick switched from the tube style ball return to the wire frame "Gold Crown Style" ball return. It is not a hermaphrodite. As for the price, everything is negotiable if your really interested.

table

I was not ripping a price. I read the post that you were feeling for opinions about what your friend was thinking about a price to ask as there
was no price set. I was trying to help as I thought he was thinking too high. Your post is not worded as a table for sale with a price.
Sorry

I wasn't offended at all... No need to say sorry.

I concur....

You are correct. It was available with what we now we refer to as a gold crown return.
