1982-84 FRANKLIN SW with Letter- Feeler

I find it amazing, every time I see "make offer" and I make one, it is never enough. Everyone says cues aren't selling. I make an offer of $75.00 less than what someone wants for a cue and they say no. I just wish people would put a price on it and be done with it, or at least a price and OBO.
At least we know where to start and go from there. My 2 cents is done....

Tom is correct in the asessment of my post. Some people need to lighten up. (not pointing any fingers)

Uh, no - Tom has an opinion, just as the rest of us do.

Glen, I would think that if buyers on this forum have an opinion as to the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of your selling techniques, that you would actually WANT to know about it, even if you DON'T agree with us.

In any case, I'll continue to say whatever I think is appropriate, and you can continue to walk around with blinders.

"You, my friend, are a victim of disorganized thinking."
I don't understand your last post. It makes no sense to me.......who is the seller? Who is the buyer? I've learned that the only transaction that means anything is the one between the buyer and seller. Anyone can post their opinion as to the value of an object. Do continue to say whatever you think, as no doubt you will. We will continue to give it the appropriate weight.

Scott -I do not understand why you question my techniques,Or make a comment like- Uh,No Tom has a opinion. Am I not entitled to have one?
It was posted to be a Feeler to see what they are going for in todays market. Alot of AZ r's will test the market if they are not sure of it. What is wrong with that??
It seems that my techniques work just fine in a any market I seam to be doing just fine with my sales & customer satisfaction.

Glen had nothing to do with the sale.
All he did was to make a comment in which we are all entitled to make.
He did not get anyones hopes up at all.No harm was done at all.

It was going to go to a fellow Az'r at a fair price , but unfortunately he could not commit as soon as he said.
It Just sold locally along with another cue.

Personally, I wasnt interested in the cue. But assume I was and wanted to buy it at the real price.

Real price is the price I was willing to pay AKA fair market value. IF I offered $2K, now this guy would question if he is getting what it is worth. It seems that everyone is an expert on how much --- I SHOULD PAY FOR SOMETHING.

My other thought is most who offer such nonsense dont have a clue as they havent bought a cue more than a "Collectable Meucci" EVER!

My point is on guns, cars, cues, coins, hell anything. It is worth what the market bears and if you arent making an offer.........what is it that your are really doing but farting with your mouth.

My other pet peeve is "make offer". OMG, give me a break.

LOL, good luck to all my friends here at AZ.

Ken
You "WERENT INTERESTED" in the cue but you checked the post and just had to bash some people here.......... I have been on here pretty much since the beginning and just because i dont have any "I-Trader points " am i a know nothing AZr ?? I probably ordered, bought, and sold more cues than a few of the so called" EXPERTS" on here..........So just because people have opinions doesnt mean they are wrong or dont know anything............... IMO HAVE A GREAT DAY.........:)

i thought the possible price was was out of line. ive been into a few sw deals lately and shopped a few around and they arnet getting close to that. unless its a super special piece.

the only thing i dont agree with is the make an offer thing.

i do it bc i feel it gives a open door for negotiation. you can always say no.

market value is a big factor. however sometimes we get into cues for better or worse. somethimes theres room to move and sometimes there is not.

i know ive gotten into a cue bad bc i liked it or i thought it was special... its the buisness

I said FEELER not OFFER

I had said it was a FEELER due to the current market -not MAKE A Offer.
The people that had PM me DID in fact get a starting price.I wanted to see if I was in the right ball park with the pricing of the cue & if there was interest in it.If someone liked it then great ,if they did not then they could counter the price. It is called negotiations, the two parties could always say NO or Yes.
I found I was correct on the pricing .As some of the Az'rs did get back to me & some did not ,and it sold.

People ask about cues on here all the time ,either about prices & or info on the maker.

NASC's comment HAD NOTHING to do with the pricing.I was intended to be in FUN . A Spoof if you will on the current market of SW cues.
I do not feel it was out of line at all.

When the Fun is gone out of a Hobby or passion then why continue ???
