1993 U.S. Open 9ball Championship: Johnny Archer vs. Mike Sigel

SIGEL!!! I hate it when I see a well known player's name misspelled. Especially Mike Sigel. My God, he's in the HOF. Other than that, I liked the show. Good commentary by Grady and ? I thought it was Mataya from the voice but it isn't. Ed ? Whoever he is I like him on the "mic." Only gaff was when Ed asked Grady how many times Sigel had won the Open. Not knowing the answer, Grady quickly offered up SIX or SEVEN. That made me chuckle. The camera work is actually better than the crews that ESPN uses currently. Probably a better director . I wish Johnny could watch himself play at age 23, no wasted motion here. It's nice to watch these two in their prime, one on the way up (Johnny) and one nearing retirement (Sigel). Don't think these two guys couldn't play! Efren was not the favorite over either one. I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but twenty years ago Efren wouldn't be considered anywhere near the best all around player in pool. Sigel, Mizerak, Varner, Hopkins and Rempe would all get the nod over him at that time.

thanks for posting. A bit unsettling to keep getting shots of the cameraman dude with his tight tan pants that are tucked into calf high boots:D

I'm sure he cringes today, if he sees what he wore back then.

I also agree... great to see Johnny play normal speed.

I was wondering the same thing. A pretty embarrassing outfit... also pretty gay if you ask me. Nothing against gay in general.
