Did Southwest cues values decrease after the passing of Jerry Franklin on May 11th, 1996?? I'm not that familiar with southwest other than the fact that Jerry couldn't have possibly made 383 cues before his untimely departure.

Worst case (maybe) would be he wasn't able to apply the final coats and polish it... Still a JF IMO. But if Laurie says it is, then i guess it is... Id buy if if I had the dough...

bump

monday morning, the cue won't be avail. will be sending it to Roy and he told me the retail he'll put on this cue and its higher than my price

this sw cue wrap was done by Joe Blackburn from vallyforge the passed one.

thanks flyingsnail for the info!

Long story short, I got jacked by Roy @ Indyq. Worst experience, holding my cue for 2 weeks saying he sent the check while trying to convince me to take a partial trade, a cue/case to send me instead of the check. He got mad at me for refusing a partial trade and somehow check send to me via USPS gets lost. Now the cues coming back.

I will sell the Southwest 2500 shipped via Fedex Express 2 day

Thanks

I would be interested in the details if you care to share them.
Did you have a confirmed price on the sale to this gentleman?
Seems strange that after receiving the cue, there would be any questions, and then new potential scenario’s brought up by the buyer, that weren’t clearly defined prior to sending it?? Curios George. Note: Very attractive cue, nice looking wrap. I too have a 96 SW,
with coco nose. Hard to believe that no one has snatched this one up yet. NICE!

I send him the cue, he tells me an amount, I ask a simple question.
Would you be able to sell me a whitten 3x6 case for how much he gets them for (I pay shipping), he says no but he'll pay for shipping, I said it's ok please send me a check. NEXT (after he was suppose to send the check) day he calls and says he feels like the deal is not fair and I should get a case from him or cue, that takes couple days then he says he sent a check through USPS. Never got it. He "tried" again using FEDEX GROUND... ground after I wait 2 weeks. He tells me a story how he had to wait for a helper to pick up the envelope and she dropped it off at fedex. I called fedex with the tracking and operator told me that it was scheduled to be picked up but was never picked up. I complain about the situation, he goes I AM SENDING YOUR CUE BACK. I'm just hoping I get my cue back. (on the truck being delivered right now)

I have never dealt with a person like him. will never do business with this old man who tries to get my sympathy by telling me how his health is bad.

i had a bad experience with Roy also.he tries to sell his 6 point SW's for $3000 and if you try to trade one yours is junk and his is the best.he is a typical used car dealer but with cues.he tried to convince me 4 times in one conversation to,"just send him the cue and will check it out and make a fair deal"after reading this i am glad i did not send it.he was so rude and argumentative about how good his cues were and that my "96 mint Franklin solid Macassar Ebony was less than half as valuable as the Gaboon Ebony SWs that he sold.he said that my cue was worth $1400 while he sells his Gaboon SW for $3100.I told him that i dont' think it would be worth me sending it to him b/c we were to far off on the prices and he practically begged me to send it to him anyway.he said,"we can work something out.during the conversation he went from my cue being worth $1400 to $2000 in 5 minutes trying to get me to send it to him.he kept raising the value of mine in hopes i would send it to him.when i finally said politely that i am not interested he got so mad i could feel it over the phone.i will never dop anything with this guy,and i really don't understand how he can sell 6 point SW for $2800 with his attitude.

Sorry to hear about the bad deal my friend. This is indeed a very sharp looking SW...one of my favorite combos. I'm sure it'll move fast now.
