Hi all,
Up for sale is an excellent 1998 South West cue. The cue was refinished and rewrapped in May this year and now in excellent condition. It has three shafts, two are original and one was ordered directly from Laurie this year. It also came with a set of original matching joint protectors. Here are the specs.:
Butt: 6 BEM points into Pau Ferro forearm, 2 veneers blue and nature. Weights 15.6 oz, has a very slight roll while rolling on table.
Shaft 1: 12.6 mm, weights 3.8 oz, melamine ferrule, moori tip, straight.
Shaft 1: 12.9 mm, weights 3.75 oz, melamine ferrule, moori tip, slight warpage but won't affect the hitting.
Shaft 3: New from Laurie this year. 13.1 mm, weights 3.8 oz, melamine ferrule, original tip, straight.

Ask $2350 shipped, paypal please add 3%. Please pm me or email at martin720@gmail.com for any questions, thank you.

Martin

Update: The butt has a very slight roll while rolling on table, but looks great when put on lathe and never affect the hitting.

The length of shaft is 29-1/4", the butt is 28-3/4", 58" when connected.
The refinish work was done by a local cue repair studio in Taiwan and they did a very good job.

Thanks,
Martin

all the shafts look like they are different lengths in the pics.i think he want all 3 lengths.

All 3 shafts are in the same length, all 29-1/4". This cue is a standard 58" South West.
They look different in length just because I didn't put them close and aligned when I take pictures on them, but they are the same length.

Thanks,
Martin

i was referring to the first picture where they are all photograhed together.they all lokk different, but i guess it was just the picture.

Thats a very nice looking cue....I'm kind of surprised nobody has moved on this yet. The cue market does indeed seem to be down.

maybe it's the fact that it was refinished but not by SW. some may take issue with that.

Bump~~~

The guy who did the refinish work is very good on his work. I have another SW refinished by Laurie and I can say his work is as good as it by Laurie.:)

Thanks,
Martin

Martin is 100% stand-up, if he says the refinish is as good as SW then it is. period. he is honest reliable and a great guy.

personally i dont like the color of the wrap, i believe a white or close to white linen wrap could make this cue look 10x more gorgeous. then i would consider buying it. :D

Why would you say that

Why rag on this guys post?

People do some dumb crap around here.

I mean this is un-beleivable............

Why dont you buy it and get it WRAPPED?

wow i am surprised my comment offended some people. that is definitely not my intention. i thought it was okay to express opinions and suggestions and thats the whole point of the forum. i dont think i said the cue looks ugly, some people might find my suggestion useful and it might increase their incentive to buy the cue. hope some people wouldnt be as sensitive as they are.

I wouldn't say it is offending, but I find it odd when someone states interest in a 2000+ $ cue but turns it down due to a wrap, ferrule material or any other 45.00 $ material change.

It's just poor form to make negative comments or sugestions about something that someone is trying to sell. If you wish it was another way, then buy it and change it. If you're not interested, then avoid the temptation to post, or just wish the guy luck on his sale and move on.

Bump for a very nice cue sir, good luck with your sale.

Gets even better...

I hate to rant but I have guys want to know what tip was on it. As if they are seriously considering it but the tip is wrong and now they dont want it.

Same with weight. In most cases as long as it isnt significately heavy (21 oz or over) or significally light (under 18 oz), my experience is the cue usually is in a good range and with higher end cues balanced out well.

SHHHESH.

Give me a break.

Ken
