1st time in New York City. Help please

I posted the text below in the main forum also, but wanted to come here to get some help on whom I might get some 14.1 lessons from and where I could see some heavy hitters around Manhattan & Jersey City. I know Steve Lipsky is not really giving lessons right now. Thanks for your help!:D

First post for me. Hello AZ. I'm coming to NY for the first time ever on Saturday. Amesterdam & Society Billiards are on my list. Can anyone recommend other rooms, instructors, tournaments?

If you plan to go to Amsterdam, go there on Saturday afternoon. Danny Barouty will be there running his 14.1 league. I am sure you set something up with him... Did you already ask Steve Lipsky ?

From what I hear, Tony Robles or Danny Barouty would be good bets for Straight Pool Instruction. I would call Society and Amsterdam and tell them what you are looking for. I am sure someone could give you their numbers.

I messaged Danny and Tony on Facebook and directed them to this thread.

A New Jersey instructor I have heard good things about is Jose Garcia.
