- February 5th, 6th and 7th of 2010 -

$2,500 - $4,000 ADDED (100% Payout)

$50 Entry/$15 Green = $65 Total (Main Event) on Saturday and Sunday
$25 Entry/$5 Green = $30 Total (Pre-Event) on Friday night

Format: 8/9 Ball mixed (Winner of lag chooses game)

- 8 ball (Race to 6) & 9 ball (race to 8)
- Double Elimination w/Buyback option ($50)
- Alternate Break
- $25 Bounty Chip earned for each match won and redeemable toward buyback option.

Additional Events will include...

- 9 ball mini tournament (Pre-Event Tourney on Friday night)
- 10 ball 'high stake' ring games
- Break contests (big pot)

Actually, the entry fee was knocked down to $50 and no the $15 green fee is not included in the entry fee, so it is $65 all day.

Bring ALL your money though, because there will be $100 10 ball ring games, 9 ball pre-event on Friday night, speed pool and break contests and not to mention PLENTY of action here!

We'd love to have all the St. Louis players back and more of them at that along with Justin Bergman, Chuck Raulston, Dustin Dunham, Andy Quinn, Buddy Hall, Jimmy Eberhart, Devin Mayes, Watchez and the like.

Also, all of the NW Illinois and Iowa players such as the Jesse/Jamie Bowman, Josh Johnson, James Baraks and so on. Bring it ON guys! BRING IT ON!!!

You're right though, a STRONG field is MUCH more fun, even if the guys you're calling out wipe the floor with ya. :eek::cool:
 
Yeah, it also makes for A LOT more ACTION all weekend long and if you get lucky you can get some pretty good spots from those MONSTERS :smile:

By the way, for all of you players wondering, this tournament WILL have all Red Circle cue balls as well on Valley Tables with New Cloth.

If we come up for the auction from St Louis and get knocked out on Saturday will someone mail me my money if I win some in the player auction? I tend to spend a few hundred and if my horse gets shot I do not like to stick around and listen to him whine.

Yeah, most of these are local players whom have already 'paid' in person for the most part, which is why we need all of the other players whom have already said they're coming and even booked hotel rooms to go ahead and sign-up/pay via the website @ http://www.rivercityopen.com, so we can also add their names to the list. Cause there are quite a few more players that are already coming and NOT on here just for that reason.

So, get here for this monumental tournament here and don't forget to sign up online and pay entry or you'l likely be the 65th person or higher and be SOL :p

Was in Galesburger today, and stopped in Billiards on Main. Mark had one of the tourney announcements, and said he'd definitely try to get some players to the tourney. Well, not get them there as in drive them, or, nevermind, you know what I mean! :cool:
 
That sounds good TR, despite what the website shows for players already signed up and 'paid', I think there are quite a few more players. You guys really all need to go to the website (http://www.rivercityopen.com) and sign-up/register and pay your entries.

I'm sure we'll have MOST of the road players and such just showing up the day of and paying. No biggie though, I just know this is going to be a knock out event and am really looking forward to all the action :grin:

I may play in the Peoria tourney, I haven't decided yet.

This weekend I'll be on a team with Randy Tenley, Scott Laird, & Jim Ludwig in the Iowa State ACS Championships. Should be a strong team.

Were you practicing on the big table towards the door? I was shooting banks with Mark on my lunch hour. I remember that you said you drove from Peoria.

that was me, I finally got Mark to play some 1P with me before I left...
