Ok here it is! I have a Philippine cue made by Jenor. I loved the design with the yellow and red flame pts with white phenolic and amboyna burl with the pts mirrored in the butt. I was skeptical of the quality and craftsmanship but like i said i liked the design so well i took the chance. When i recieved the cue i notice that the finish was not great and the leather wrap that it had on it i didnt like. I sent the cue off to have a black linen put on. i could have wrapped it myself but the leather groove was way thick and had to be built up. I expected it to be built up with clear and rewrapped. Well when i got it back it looked fine. Shot with it for a month and went to break it down after i got finished shooting and the whole wrap slipped around. I thought what i cant believe that the glue wouldnt hold. so i just cut the wrap off and to my amazement no glue and it had been built up with tape. Im not going to mention the cuemakers name. No it wasnt eason or wheat.
. So i contacted Jim Lee and he said he would do the job right for me. When he recieved the cue it was a mess. He said that the quality of the handle wasnt good and that it wasnt made of maple. He said that he would install a high quality maple handle in the cue which would make it hit even better. Well when installing the handle the cue wasnt turning true because the pin wasnt centered correctly so Jim went ahead and recentered and installed a new pin and never even charged for the extra work. The finish was like i said not high quality and was chipping at the joint and at ringwork near handle so he offered to refinish the cue at a amazing price i couldnt turn down. He said that such a beautiful designed cue should have a great finish. I agree also. Jim is a great guy and really loves his work to be perfect. and also likes to see any cue at its full potential. This is the way it should be. Jims customer service and communication is top tier.. Thanks Jim for the exceptional work.
Ok the Joint protectors! I contacted Jim Baxter about making a couple of J/P's for my CAM and the what i call now the Jim Lee built and Jenor designed cue. Because Jim Lee totally rebuilt the cue. The j/p's turned out exceptional. only wish that Jim or Christy would have used Delrin on the top of the one for the CAM. But I'm very pleased with the service and quality of work. So thanks Jim B and Christy.
Well here is the Pics.
