Folks, finally, after some 48 hours of slow acclimatization process, the cues are out.

I had these cues tracked since it left their point of origins and both arrived Hong Kong in the early evening of Sunday. Both were delivered to the office around noon of Monday. Opened both ends of the tubes to let it breath and start the acclimaization. Informed Mason and the owner of the 2nd cue that they finally arrive the office. Got this reply from Mason:

you are a patient man, have you peeked inside yet.

can't see anything under those bubble wrap cover. ;)

When I arrive home in the evening, I took both out of their respective tubes and let it rest on the floor, resting on the mat (called "Banig" in the Philippines). Tuesday morning when I woke up, I took the bubble wrap off the cues and left it on the banig again still inside their respective plastic wrapper. Now I can see those lovely beauties. :)

Finally when I arrived from work, I took then out of the plastic wrappers, did the measurements and shoot some pix. It's now about 2am my time and I'm posting this to share with everyone. Thanx a whole lot Mason for making me this cue. I would also like to thank my friend (who wants to remain anon) for offering me the other cue. Hope you all like them. Thanx for viewing. I'm going to bed. :D

Top cue is a Brand New Mason Cue shown in the thread below (the center cue): Rosewood/Olivewood

The other cue is a Used (like new) Viattorre with 3 shafts. Ivory Joint and Butt Cap. It's been well taken cared of by the owner. I'm very honored, as the owner offered this to me alone. How can I refuse. Curly Maple/Cocobolo

I'll be shooting some pool this coming Friday. Review to follow.

Thanx guys. :)

Kam, sms me when you got time to shoot again. You can have a go at these babies.

congratulations on the new additions to your cue family.

I like olivewood, just that I have no fate with my previous cue order.
The wood just simply refused to keep still, always moving. :o

I like the curly maple cue as well as I am a curly maple nut. :D

Olivewood is such a b!tch and I thank Masonh for making me a cue with that wood.

My photography skills lives to be desired. I need to beef up on that one. Planning on picking up that hobby, ones my cue buying days are over.

The Curls on this cue looks better than the pix. Let me see if I can retake and will repost new ones.

Love them butts?

Nice cues, I love the simple warrior look also. Is it me, or is one of those shafts different for the second cue with three, or is it the light?

What kind of wood is that yellow shaft in the middle? Is in a man made shaft or is it natural?

The shafts are all solid natural wood.

From the top pix, the bottom shaft is Maple(4oz) with very light brown color.

The next shaft above it is Yellow(3.6oz) in color and is of unknown wood.

The next one above it, is Maple(3.6oz) darker brown color and is of very old wood and it stinks like sh!t.

The top-most is Maple(3.6oz) Super White is color that is looks like it glows in the dark.

Great looking pair of cues.
Love the wood combinations in both cues and the ring work in the Mason cue is great.
Will have to read the review later on the Mason...

Thanks for the pictures.
