Here are 2 of 6 cues we will be getting from Dave Kikel in this style. Dave will be cutting his production way back this year and even more in the coming few years as he winds down for retirement.

When Dave told me he had more wood than he will ever use before he retires, I asked him to pick some of the best woods in his stock and build cues that show off the wood. We decided to make 6 "upscale" Merry Widow style cues.

These cues feature fancy Ivory ring work (10 inlays per ring), segmented exotic wood handles, piloted Ivory joints, faux Ivory butt caps, Elforyn ferrules, and super tight grained AAAA 4oz+ shafts. These are incredible playing cues.

The first cue has a Spalted Maple forearm and butt sleeve with a segmented Che Chen Burl handle. The Che Chen Burl is drop dead gorgeous! The cue is 19oz with 4.1oz shafts. SOLD

The second has super dark Macassar Ebony in the forearm and butt sleeve. The segmented handle is beautiful English Oak Burl with some larger Ivory inlays in the handle rings. The cue is 19oz with 4oz shafts. $1,695.00.

In all honesty I am totally clueless about which one would I get if I were in the market right now - on the other hand, I am absolutely sure that I would get one of these two and not anything else in this price range.

The other side of the coin though is that I (and maybe that's just me) wouldn't buy these because Kikel is about te retire... of course that is a factor but I would not put it in the 'first line'.

This is strictly my opinion. Anyways, it kills me inside that I can't acquire any of these two... :o((

Good luck with the sale!

Bump to the top...
Dave makes a great-playing cue!
AND I highly recommne d Jamie / New2youq's!
I think the 1st time I met Jamie was purchasing a 6 point Kikel cue !
Good luck with the sales;)

Spalted Maple cue is sold. Get the Ebony cue before it's too late...it's a great cue!

The fact that dave is going to retire should motivate the buyer, not dissuade you. The price and availability will go up/down respectfully. Not to mention that dave's cues are big time players. Good luck with the sale jamie...

In all honesty I do not ever recall someone saying that Dave Kikel's cues are anything less than fantastic playing cues. Mine came thru Jamie also and for a "newbie" dealer he has built a solid reputation for taking care of business.
