2 Tucker cues and a It's George case for sale!

I need a vacation.

A friend of mine asked me to put these on AZ for him.
Here is the info: 2003 Cocobolo solid nose with 2 shafts. It is in great condition and has 1 or 2 small dings in the butt sleeve but is easily 95% once the shafts
are cleaned up. The cue weighs 19.5oz with a 13mm shaft. The other cue
is a 2000 cocobolo sneaky pete that Murray said was one of the first 5
cues he ever made. Again this one is in great shape as well. Cue weighs
19.5oz as well with a 13mm shaft. I also have an It's George V case that
is near mint. I'd like to sell it all as a package and will give you a
shot before I resort to AZ. Here is what I'm thinking for price: Solid
Nose - $900, Sneaky - $700, and George Case - $200. I will also
entertain an offer as well.

I got the answer and can tell you that he is straight up. Not much needs to be said about the solid coco cue except the ring work is rare. I think I did two or three cues with those rings. The sneaky is a very, very early cue and like most cuemakers early efforts I kind of cringed when I saw it up for sale. It was one of my first attempts at points and as such they are not as even as they should be. But it is a early cue and it is what it is. It does play like a monster though.

It says in the description it is vinyl and he is only asking $200 for it.:confused:
 
I can't believe there are...not one, but TWO....Murray Tucker cues out there, and that they haven't sold yet.

I'd buy the Cocobola one, if I didn't already dig a hole up to my ears with cues over the last week.

The solid nose cue is sold. The George case is VINYL. Offers still taken on the sneaky and case. Thanks for all of the inquiries and offers.
 
Youre kiddin right ?? Hes a great cuemaker that is on this board ,i believe he is from Florida, his cues are seamingly sought after................:)
 
It's Murray Tucker III, to be exact. And his cues are true players of legendary status. It is a VERY rare thing to see one of his cues for sale publicly, as they are usually held onto by their owners...or sold/traded among other Tucker devotees.

He doesn't technically take orders, and there really isn't a waiting list. He does not build them to be collected, he builds them to be played.....all in his spare time, of which often, there is very little of.....his family and his primary biz take priority in his life...as it should be. He goes into 'semi-retirement' from cuemaking often.....which adds to making these cues even more difficult to acquire.

The cues he builds are very much like his offspring, and he cares about each and every one....and remembers each and every one, and who it went to. And each and every one get sprinkled with that special Murray Mojo.

It may seem like a bunch of hype.....but post a thread asking those who are lucky enough to own one how they feel about the cue and the man....and you'll see just exactly how highly regarded he is.......much like another, more well known FL cuemaker. ;)

All I can say is that this is an extremely rare opportunity, and there are a couple of individuals who are going to get very lucky to acquire these cues.

Oh, one last thing....please do not refer to the full splice as a sneaky pete. Murray considers these full splices in the truest sense of the term....he takes a great deal of time to build these, from scratch, and only uses THE finest exotic woods and components that money can buy. His wood stock is OOLLLDDDD!...and very stable. Even in their most base form, his cues are works of art. Murray is truely an 'unknown legend'. :)

If I wasn't in a cash crunch, and still wanted to play I'd own them both by now. Getting a cue from Murray is the holy grail of cue buying.

Talked to Murray a couple weeks ago and couldn't get him to take an order.
Had to pull the trigger on this one:D
