Does not do anyone any good, except the local players. Hell I would have drove up there for the calcutta.
I got the flyer for next week, but not for last Saturday's event.

You should give $200 for those 30 or so players that no one will even put up $10 for in the auction. Those 30 guys should be eligible for that $200, make em think they can win something?
What do you think about that?
I like that Idea!!! sometimes you gotta throw a dog a bone to get them to come back because these are usualy the guys that are spending the money and supporting the party for the good palyers and you are not taking anything away or punishing the good players for there ability like you would be if they had to give weight. just my opinion though.... :thumbup:

Notice all NON champions, you know yourself. The guys that go in the pool and just play for the chance to play or maybe beat a great player. Lets see if we can get Sammie to give the highest placing player not bid on and in the auction POOL a taste !!!! Like $200 for top POOL player.
If anyone places 10 bucks on you or you buy yourself, your out.

I heard today that Don the Pig Farmer Crump will be there as well. Hopefully some of those champions are still at the DCC.

GREAT woke up sick this morning... hope i feel better by tomorrow so I can come down because whitey said the last one was a real good tourney. Isn't that the way it goes, I have some good tourneys coming up, this one, river city, midwest nine ball next month and end up sick... it will probably hang on for three or four weeks it always does..... 
Its a two hour drive and I normally sleep in on Saturday. Tomorrow will be my first day off at home in over two months.
I'll let you know in the morning.

True Story:
A while back I landed in Bangkok at midnight and drank all night until I played in a tourney that started at 2PM the next day. I drank through the tourney and still managed to cash, then closed the place down at 2AM.
I then slept a couple hours in a taxi on the way to Pattaya for a tourney that started the next morning, drinking & playing til late afternoon.
I woke up the next day in a Penthouse at a 5 star hotel. Turns out a girl at the tourney took me there after I passed out, put the room on my credit card, and left me there.
Your plan sounds good, but those hours just don't work for me.

Josh Johnson is playing Mike Dunklin on the one loss side
Trent Talbert(Quincy) is playing Jamie Welch(Beloit) for the hot seat.
I think there were 45 players. Played down to the final four, all of which made the player auction.
Me and my calcutta partner have Josh Johnson and I am hoping for him to make his way to at least 2nd place. Only time will tell. Will update later.

A.J. knocked me out of the winners bracket. He was playing great.
I did have a good match against Scott Kitto, and I got him 9-8.
In the end I managed to cash.
