two Virginia up-and-comers just took down Davis and Wiseman in the 7pm rounds. Brandon Shuff over Mike Davis 3-1, and Larry Kressel kicked it up a notch over Ronnie Wiseman 3-1.

great tournament for Kressel and Shuff, but the next round did them in - Shuff went down to Rabon 3-2; and Kressel lost to Abernathy by the same score.

Tomorrows 5:00 matches: Tony Chohan v. Sam Monday; and Scott Rabon v. Jeff Abernathy

ten-ball matches should begin after the 12 pm mandatory player's meeting.

Awesome for the VA boys! The Planet-Pool Alumnus have done quite well in Goldsboro over the last few years.

I don't think either Kressel or Shuff winning is much of an upset. They are both fine, fine cueists with a lotta smarts. I like.

not taking anything away from these two, their games are definitely moving up. it was nice to see them play well.
