I am wondering if Strickland will play.
Earl is a 5 time US Open Champion and his entry fee if taken care of by Barry so you can bet he will play unless he has an emergency!

I'll be there Wednesday until the end and I wouldn't miss it unless I have a problem. I've been going to this tournament for years and I think it's the best 9 ball tournament in the US.

My first

This will be my first time there and look forward to lots of great play. I too hope that Earl will be there.

Is there somewhere to see a continuously updated list of players as they pay in their entry fee?

Thanks

Kevin

A list of US OPEN Qualifiers anywhere yet ?

Barry will be holding qualifiers at Q-Masters every month heading up to the Open. If you call them, they can give you the details. I believe he told me that they would be the first weekend of the month. Don't quote me on that, though.

Also, check the tournament section on the main page of AZ. They have mentioned a couple of qualifiers.

Hope this helps!

last saturday of august, september, and 2 saturdays in october i think. 1 stipulation though: players must have a valid id with an address no more than 100 miles from q-masters.

Anyone know how many entries they have so far? I know it's early, but with the low turnout at tournaments with high entry fess, I just would like to know if it's going to fill up. Johnnyt

I'm curious too....but 600 bucks to enter is not alot if your a pro player and have any talent at all. If your going to have the kind of payouts advertisted it pretty cheap. What might be a bigger problem as far as turn out would be travel expenses and hotel and meals. Barry does a great job running the longest tournament in the usa but there's only so much he can do and I hope the turn out is good. He's had alot of bad luck in the past (911 and hurrricanes)and I know there are some that have issues with him but we all need to help make this happen. I hope the asain players decide to come. 600 bucks may seem like alot to some players but as a fan just going to watch them play with zero chances to win anything is going to run me well over 600 bucks just to support them:D

Do they put a list of the players that are going to play up, and if so about how long before the event starts. Johnnyt
