Live streaming possibility!!!!!!!!

If you've ever wanted to watch one of these great competitions LIVE, there is a good chance you could actually help make it happen!

Ray (Bigtruck) is trying to raise the funds to travel to stream the event. He said he will entertain pledges to see if it is feasible to plan going. Your contribution could put a historical marker on the map of time... putting artistic pool competitions on live stream!

Ray said he needs to raise at least $1400 to go. If you can help him raise the funds, whether it's $10 or $50 or $100, shoot him an e-mail at akabigtruck@gmail.com with a pledge for that amount, if he goes.

Remember -- the dates are the 19th-22nd of NOVEMBER. This means we have little time to raise the funds, so pledge now!

Tell everyone to come help out and let's send Bigtruck to Maryland!!

Crown Cues will be one of the sponsors of this event and if it is live streamed, we intend to be a sponsor of the stream, as well.

Hey Bigtruck!! Did you get the job??

Who did you get for sponsors, besides Crown Cues? Or, are you willing to tell us, yet?

How much of the funds have you got left to raise? If anyone wants to contribute, where do they go to add to the ChipIn fund?

I should go to help Venom promote his new DVD, but I'm just too busy. :( Someone mentioned possible streaming. How likely is this to happen?

Coming soon to a computer near you!!!

I should go to help Venom promote his new DVD, but I'm just too busy. :( Someone mentioned possible streaming. How likely is this to happen?

I think it is highly likely. People all over the world will be able to watch the competition and those who have always wondered what an artistic pool competition is like will finally get to see for themselves. And it will be FREE to watch. You can't beat that!

Ray has already received responses from some who will sponsor the streams and he is now raising funds to help him afford the trip to Maryland. It is going to cost him a lot of money to make the trip, but I can assure you that the price he asks is very reasonable. He will be coming from Texas to do the stream. Anyone can contribute to help him make this trip. We NEED to make it crystal clear that we want to see these competitions online! Many are unable to travel to the competitions, but want very much to see them. Many more would compete, if they had a clue what the competitions were like. Many would simply watch out of their fascination for trick shot exhibitions and others for sheer curiosity.

It is time artistic pool joined the rest of the pool community with live, online streams!! I hope everyone chips in and helps raise the funds to help show how much this is wanted by the world.

Check out this thread for more info on how to contribute: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=162407

Don't forget to help us spread the word that

ARTISTIC POOL MAY VERY SOON BE ONLINE!!

Weeeeeeee-hawwwwww!!!

(There ain't no smiley faces to share THAT expression.)

Not only a terrific event, but a chance to get it live streamed!!! How many of you would like to see that??? A LIVE trickshot competiton!!

Let's send Ray to Maryland and put Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman and this great competition online!!

Well, I do believe that ustream has crashed, so Bigtruck and ALL the live streams seem to be down, right now. Bummer! Maybe they'll come back up, soon. Hope so, anyway. :frown:

Ustream did crash...I accept that which I can not control.

Ray and the BigTruck Show will be at the Artistic Cup III. "Lord willing and the creek don't rise"

Renee no one can give you enough thanks for what you've done to support this event.

I may be wrong, but this is going to be the very first free live streaming of a trick shot event ever. I say "trick shot" but don't want to ever diminish the talent of the folks playing...It truly is artistic...and I'm SO glad Ray is able to make that 1500 mile trip to beam it to the world.

I had the pleasure of meeting "The Michigan Kid" tonight and he's an ambassador of the game. Good luck to you Jason.

Stay tuned everyone...this is gonna be fun.

Careful what you speak of. There's been a lot of creek rising going on in these here states, this year!!

Thanks. I do try. But, this is very important to us. Gene and I have really enjoyed being involved with the artistic pool players. They are a wonderful group of folks and one great big family. We even sponsor two accomplished artists - Jamey Gray and Tim Chin. We want very much to see this movement survive and not get lost in the shuffle and we intend to be there to support it as it becomes an ever-more-popular sport. For this reason, we have pushed for the live streaming to be given a chance. We believe it will offer many new opportunities for people to sponsor or support this great sport, as well as being able to watch.

I believe you are right, that this is the very first live stream of an artistic pool competition. We have waited a long time for this event to happen!

I'm glad Jason was able to stop in to the stream for a while, this evening. It was nice chatting with him. He is very talented, although I think he breaks entirely too many records. (vinyl ones, I mean.)

We are very excited about this history-making event. Crown Cues has chosen to sponsor the event AND to sponsor the stream. I hope everyone from the forum who gets online when the event is in progress will stop in and watch the competition for at least a little while. It is very entertaining and sometimes, it gets intense. These guys aren't just good at setting up a shot. Most of the shots they make depend on a lot of skill and they work hard to achieve them.

I have given quite a few names to Ray as potential sponsors of the stream. So, if you are contacted by Ray and he says I sent him to you, he's probably telling you the truth. And, I also wrote to some and suggested possible sponsorship of the stream. Ray does a great job with the slide show ads for his sponsors and NOW, he even has SOUND to go with the slide shows! I was shocked to see this great new feature! You go, Ray!

There are a select few streamers we perceive as being quality enough to take on this honorable "first time" position. Ray is one of those guys and we're glad to be involved with this remarkable event, even though we can't make the trip.

My new motto: If you can't join them, get them STREAMED!

I've already been receiving comments from folks who can't be there, but are glad they will be able to watch. Help us spread the word... Artistic Pool will be LIVE and online in just a few days!!

Venom , aka Florian will be a noteworthy winner i believe. He seems to have progressed very much so since the last Dr.cue contest, and didnt place very high.. or at all. After viewing his videos im hoping he will do good.
