I was just curious to see if anyone knows how Yu Ram Cha (Korea), got into this event? You would think there has to be some selection criteria. But hell, a girl that almost two years ago played as an amateur in that Jacksonville thing is now playing in a event against the best male players. Maybe I could rationalize it if she was the most dominant female player out there. Is this thing a Dragon Promotions event or something?
At least SVB get got a good draw in the first round.

Good question. I could maybe picture Jasmin Ouchan playing against the big boys but who knows. I don't doubt Yu Ram's skill. There might be some slight favourtism.

Yu Ram Cha is an excellent choice. Yes, Jasmin would have been an excellent choice, too. In fact, I'd love to see both of them in this field.

Yu Ram Cha is not an amateur, but instead an established WPBA pro that began to make her mark in the 2008 WPBA season, fiinishing third in the WPBA US Open and fiinshing the year ranked 18th. I believe she's just 21 years old and she's definitely a strong up-and-comer.

Finally, this is not a Dragon Promotions event, but a Matchroom event, and Matchroom is delivering the international balance that one can always expect of this event, as well as continuing its policy of inviting one woman.

Looks like a nice field that should produce an exciting event.
