Am watching the final now, Lining vs Zhang, who I believe is Taiwanese (Chang?). Both are obviously great players, but watching Linings soft break is boooooooooooooooring.
Promoters / TD's who use the magic rack needs to understand that you cannot rack the 1 on the spot, rack high with 9 on the spot to force some break action! They are killing the game, I even see some spectators sleeping (not uncommon in pool for some reason)
6-5 Zhang, he made a great safety on the two. Nikoy almost escaped with a super thin cut shot that hung up in the corner. The pockets look fairly tight, maybe 4.5" or slightly less. A bad shot will rattle.
Before the match started, it said Lining PHI vs Zhang TPE. So I think the guy is Taiwanese, not Chinese (although the Chinese would say thats the same..)
I believe Zhang is the Chinese way of writing Chang - the Taiwanese version
9-6 Zhang. Antonio missed a cut shot on the one. Zhang made a beautiful off angle combination on the 2-8. The top Chinese/Taiwanese players all have excellent focus and concentration, ala Ralf Souquet. 100% at all times!
Nikoy falls short for position on the two. It was a very small window he was trying for. Plays safe but Zhang makes another excellent long cut up table on the two. He runs out for the match! 11-7.
