2011 BCAPL Southwest Regional

I am not a BCA member, but I want to play in the mens singles, am I able to?

You could do what Dr Pool mentioned, OR, you could jump on a team in my BCA League on Wednesday Nights from Stingers. We do have 1 or 2 teams are looking for a solid player. I believe as long as you get 4 weeks of play in before the Southwest Event that you can play in singles. And if you continue to get 8+ weeks of play then you will be qualified for Nationals! (which I know you want to play).

Let me know!

No, I know that. BUT, for you to get qualified to play Singles you could jump on a league team and get enough weeks in.

4 weeks to qualify for the Southwest Regional. (Correct me if I'm wrong Holly).

8 weeks to qualify for the National Event.

Once qualified you can play Singles, Scotch, Team, 9-ball, etc.

I was told just become a member for $25 or something and I am good to play the singles events, that is cool for me. Saves me gas and quarters plus paying whatever else to play on a team.

hmm, I think if you pay the $25 fee, they might bucket you in the Advanced Category. I could be wrong here, but I thought that I heard that last year.

It would make sense, seeing that it's the BCA Pool League and trying to promote Pool Leagues.

Either way, I bet you are glad that you can finally play instead of all that watching you've been doing. :D

I know, never played some big league event so it should be fun, do I have to mark my pocket with chalk, a quarter, my wallet? :p

Ha ha, yeah I think they have to do that in APA or TAP.

Our league is just some of the best 8-ball you'll see in Arizona every week.

I signed up for the Scotch just to make sure I got in the field before it filled up!

I know last year there was a special page for the Southwest Regional on the playbca.com website, but I don't see one this year. You can see all the forms on the UPDATES page and that's great.

Holly, is there going to be a way for players to see who is all signed up?

Bump it up for the 4 people who actually read the Tournament Announcements and aren't just posting their events! :p

Hi Jerry :) Glenna will be back in the office next week and we will have the entries link on the BCAPL upcoming events page soon. There everyone will be able to see the entries for the BCAPL Southwest Regional Championships. We do this with all our events. But ya know...the CSI staff do occassionally get a little vacay time. :)

Lenny...glad you're playing too. Jerry I just think Len is afeared of ya bud. (hehehe) Now that is a match that would be fun to see streamed.

Hope you are both keeping cool in AZ. Gotta love those patio misters hope you each have them. Also, I won't be down for the SWR, although the Radisson Fort McDowell is a stunning place. I am wedding planning and will be working on that over Labor Day weekend.

Peace to you and all the players out there in the world. Be kind, chalk regularly and remember keep your head down, focus on your contact point and drink lots of water.

Hugs :) Holly

Ok that sounds great! It's hard for some of us to waste time at work making fun graph's of entrants of tournaments when the data is not available
