Welcome to another video installment of my trip to the Derby City Classic.

Episode 2 focuses on the "Jimmy Jib" boom camera that Accu-stats uses on some of the larger tournaments it covers.

It was the 1st time I saw their setup at the TV table and noticed right away the remote controlled camera mounted on a boom. Me being a video geek, wanted to learn more about it. I also thought it was cool how smooth it was being operated.

I asked Julian, who is in charge of it, if I could corral him into doing a interview about the equipment. He was very nice about it and said "sure".

I finally got him before a Scott Frost match and sat down in the drivers seat. It has barbell weights to balance it. When I first lowered it, I used way too much strength and I thought I was going to break it and get banned from the tournament:D He was very understanding about it and did not wring my neck for my little "mishap"

So check out my new video and learn about the "Jimmy Jib" and how it is used at the tournaments. Thanks to Pat Fleming of Accu-stats for allowing me access to filming in the TV arena. Sorry, but I do not have a "TV Voice" and do not use a script, so you'll just have to deal with me stumbling along while I"m talking.

Nobody was interested in the "Jimmy Jib"??

Note to self: should have photoshopped two babes in bikini's running the thing, instead of two dudes:D

Thanks for sharing the video. I'm always interested in seeing how the events unfold in the eyes of the attendees. I may not always reply in threads, but I am so very thankful to have the opportunity to see these gems. I know I am speaking for the entire AzBilliards membership when I say we appreciate you taking the time to do this.

Very cool, thanks for sharing and the time it it takes to edit and upload the videos!

Keep them coming, please.

Interesting interview 'cali'. It does seem to be less intrusive than the guy walking around the table like the ESPN guys do. Only drawback is it's fixed location...it can miss some shots, but not many.

Thanks for the vid.

L8R...Ken

PS...some bikini clad chix would have been better

tyvm CaliRed.

Green wave coming your way.

Accu-Stats is much more than a guy at a table with a camera on a tripod !

I resemble that remark! :D

Yeah but you are an exception to the rule.

You do a fantastic job !

Now if only some viewers would purchase your 99cent ppv's a bunch of times you will have a jib too !

:p
