Mixed emotions about this run, ran 98 today. I woulda been happy with myself if was a 92-95 ball run, but a 98 is kick in the pants. I missed the break shot, it was a steep angle but all I had to do was make the ball and the rack would have spread nicely to keep going.
My goal this year is to run a 100 balls in straight pool and a snooker century in the same week. It's a silly one, but i thought it'd be a cool accomplishment. This week was my closest, I had a 92 break on tuesday and a 98 ball run on Sunday.
Maaaaybe next week.
Doesn't sound silly at all! Which do you find easier? I kind of think (with BIH to start) that the century would be easier.![]()
I ran 68 today 3/24/12
I had played two races today with a pretty equal opponent beating him both games by like 50 points in races to 100 points. I was feeling pretty good considering that I am only back to playing for a few weeks and I am still trying to adjust to a new Shurtz cue that I just picked up.
Well anyways I felt pretty good during the games and i still had some time to kill and i felt like i might be able to put up a good number. Well i did just that I ran a very clean 68 which I screwed up late at the end of the last rack when I inadvertently tied up 2 balls with no available balls to help break open that late cluster. I felt very satisfied with this run, nice and controlled. Hopefully I can continue this into tomorrow's 14.1 league match at Raxx in Hempstead NY.
If you are ever in the Long Island area I highly recommend you pay Holdin Chin a visit at his great room.

Whoa -- I just noticed this -- congrats, Steve! Looks like we both had decent runs on the same day! Couldn't make it down to Raxx that weekend (wasn't feeling well enough for the drive down), but at the same time, I'd gotten a good night's sleep -- the best one in a long time, probably due to the cold meds. And it really helped!
I definitely second your notion on Holden's room -- Raxx is GREAT!
