Yep... Unbeknownst to me the poll had a limit of 100 responses using the free software. To make the poll viewable again and have unlimited responses will now cost me $200. What a scam.

Sorry about that folks... I had no idea that was going to happen.

My vote would have been for Joel Herceck. All of the cues posted on AZ were fresh designs and distinctly Joel. His ability to incorporate requests into a classic design is uncanny. Just a few off the top of my head are ScottR's and AK-Stick. The vinniebabrooch box cue is to die for. All of his cues are very different yet his core value of playability will never be second to anyone. Unlike makers that create the same old cue with a little more of this or that.

This is a good one because I am thinking not about any particular cue but the range of cues I have seen this year.
 
This is unreal!!!!

I am a lurker but are people thinking what I think about this ????This is a joke some of the worlds finest cue makers doing some of the best stuff of there career getting no votes, and then cue makers that dont even make there own points then cue makers that have never been heard of getting votes! this is a total joke! here let berak it down to points next post

Uptight, you seem to be a little "uptight"! :grin-square:

Please go back and read the entire thread... you will then understand the poll did not run it's course. When the poll was shut down by SurveyMonkey there over 200 votes. All it would show without paying the $200 fee were the first 100 votes. The poll did not last half of the two weeks it was scheduled to run.

So at this point the totals mean nothing.

I can see your point, but I believe most of cue makers received votes based on the customers experience..Most of us have never done business with a lot of big names on the list in 2012..In fact a lot of members will not get the opportunity to do business with the bigger names in the future..The op's qualifications for cue maker of the year are open to interpretation..

i would take the top 2 and let the makers choose a cue from 2012, post it and re vote and have each cue maker write of what they did to make them 2012 cue maker of the year then let the people vote

I have to agree with Chris. For all of the cues posted this year, Joel's body of work in 2012 gets my vote.
