Update: The event will take place likely in very late summer but likely early Fall this year.
Dragon Promotions CEO Cindy Lee will be flying out next week to evaluate locations for this year.
Final decision and announcement will be right after.
Hang on for a couple weeks or less 14.1 fans & players!

The event will definitely happen and again, thank you to our partner Dr.Michael Fedak for his continued support and commitment to seeing the World Tournament go on.

The 73rd!

Great News.

I am pretty sure Red Shoes Billiards would like to do a qualifier again.

Any chance New Brunswick is in the mix..even with the Hurricane it was a great event and great location 2 years ago. Also that field was amazing..with Ray Martin..Sigel..etc.. Anyway we will know the players prior to the start of the event?

I would like to share the spot light with Dr. Fedak to the amount of $100.00.

Where do I send the check?

During the SVB/Strickland 10-ball match tonight, it was announced on the stream that Steinway Billiards in Queens, NY will be the site of this year's "World Tournament of 14.1." No other details were given.

Some are calling Steinway a "dead spot on the internet." The stream was down for about 30% of the games last night. I sure hope it's all worked out for streaming the 14.1 event.

Thanks for contributing, Dave Nelson

Dave: Cindy and Charlie asked me to respond for them. Oh, the joys of being a pro bono attorney. Just kidding, actually. They both do great things for the game I love.

Anyway, they want to say " Thank you, Dave, so much for your contribution. The World Tournament was revived for the fans and players and continues on through supporters such as yourself. We hope to see you there, or hope that you are able to enjoy the streaming and coverage.

Thank you, Charlie Williams and Cindy Lee"

Do you know if they're going to work with Accu-stats this year? I got a couple DVDs from last year's event and they really didn't come close to the quality you get from Accu-stats.

Yes, the World Tournament of 14.1 will indeed be at Steinway Billiards in New York City from August 19th -24th.

The energetic ownership is very enthusiastic about hosting it and has been generating excitement with some very interesting pro events this year. (Also, it is now Earl Strickland’s homeroom.)

An official announcement will be out very soon.

Now if Mike Sigel and Ray Martin would play again, like Palmerfan posted earlier. They are always great to watch...

That's nice. Hope it's not true. I'm only about an hour away, but I'd never attempt to drive and park in the city. I think you have to take classes on how to do that, so I'd be interested in the stream as well.

Steinway Billiards has an arrangement with the parking lot across the street;free for patrons In addition, there are plenty of metered spaces on the street. I find getting to Steinway to be very easy by car, or by subway. Its only two short blocks from the nearest subway, and I like that Society and Amsterdam are on the same line (R train). So, I don't even have to transfer.
