2014 World 9-Ball Championship

did anyone see the match between Orcollo and Klatt? it was hill-hill and dennis pulled off a very good safety shot at the last rack which pretty much concluded the game. i hope i get to wath that match again.

it was a cliffhanger wherein orcullo pulled a come from behind win. they played 2 safety battle in the last two racks that went both for orcullo.

Orcullo was off his game and I think Klatt actually played a bit better. But when it came to the safety battle, Dennis outlasted.

The Orcullo and Klatt match was a grind it out defensive battle classic. I think Dennis was down 8-6 and clawed his way back. Dennis has little Ko next and whoever wins, will probably play Shaw. How tough of a first 3 match is that to start out a tournament...

Corey is playing Johann Chua at 4am U.S Central Sunday.

Alex P. match is at 4am also.

Efren plays at 8am I believe.

Thanks for all the scores. A few surprises but not many. Once again, a field loaded with strong Filipinos and Chinese players, with a few tough Europeans thrown in. You can probably pick the final eight from this group. I'd love to see Shane break in there, and with tough tables he has a real chance here.

The winner of Orcollo/Ko will win a place in the final group of 64. You just need 2 wins in the Group Round to get to the single-elimination stage.

So what happens if Dennis and Shaw wins their next match? So they then play each other and that is a Final 64 match? Loser goes home?

This is the younger brother of Ko Pin Yi right? This kid will be a world champion some day. Maybe only 17 or 18 now, but what a game he has!

No, it's a new draw for the final 64, based on their results during the qualifying rounds going on now.

based on what I saw in the qualifying stages, he could be world champion now.

shane is pretty lucky with his group. his first win against Saeed Ali was no pressure at all. His opponent doesnt have much experience in WPA events - participated in the china open though but got eliminated early in the qualifying stage. tomorrow he faces daniel corrieri - seems to play good but didnt join any WPA events last year. very sure he will win this match.
