2015 CBSA Guangzhou Open 9ball on 9ft (8-11 July2015) China

 FINAL 32 DRAW:

http://news.top147.com/2015/07/00023121.shtml

Matches will start at 10:00 pm US EST tonight. Some interesting matches between Ralf Souquet and Wu, Jeff De Luna and younger Ko brother.

Albin Ouschan, Ko Pin Yi and Jeff Ignacio have all been eliminated.

After seeing play for the first time last night, I am now rooting for Johann Chua. I hope they feature his last 32 match at 1:00 am US EST in the tv table.

Siming Chen always has a look on her face like someone just kicked her puppy under a bus. Go Jasmine!

Damn, Jasmine breaking down 3-4, makes a ball on the break and has to sit down because of the incompetent "3 point rule".

Now trailing 3-5 and the break.

Wu is running away 8-3 now
He is my sentimental favorite to win he has not win anything for long time. The kid (ok he is no longer a kid) is less fluid and not as superconfident as before but still a joy to watch
Also rooting for the youngsters Little Ko , Johann Chua and that old dog Li Hewen . It is about time they win something :grin-square:

Wu wins and is through to the final 16. Little Ko was defeated by Jeff De Luna 11-7. Both Ko brothers are now out of the competition.

Next tv table match:

Johann Chua vs Chen Wenhua

I am watching and have 2 questions!

1) What are these tables?
2) Are the side pockets cut with an arc, or is that just an illusion?

Johann Chua advances. Saw the last few games. That tv table with the black pocket facing looks tighter than the chrome ones IMO.

Last 32 Men's
Live stream http://www.kktv5.com/76670786
Chang Jung Lin v Fu Jianbo

Other interesting matchups
Wu v Aloysius Yap (World Junior Champ and I think one time student of Wu). The kid plays like Wu but notch below

Johann Chua v Chang Yu Lung
This Chang is one of most mentally tough. If Johann can beat him he can go very deep into the tourney.
Actually in these Asian tourneys, China/All Japan etc, the best performers in recent years are the 2 Changs, Johann Chua, Jeff Ignacio. Johann in particular has been very impressive getting into last 4 or last 8 in most tourneys

Lo Li Wen v Biado
This lesser know Taiwanese (Japan based) Lo is a top notch player so Biado will have his hands full

Kevin Cheng v Li Hewen
Both are top players in their own countries Taiwan and China respectively but underachievers in international tourneys.
Both did quite well in doubles though :grin-square: -Kevin most recently almost won the big $100K MP Cup doubles and Li is 2 time Doubles World Cup of Pool champ

:grin-square:
