2015 DCC 9-ball Update

Dennis makes the 1 in the side on the break, but gets hooked on the 2. Dennis pushes out for a kick, Alex gives it back. Dennis hits the 2 but sells out. Alex runs out to tie it at 4-4.

He has shown undefeated the whole time. I know he won a few of the recent ones.

Alex makes the 6 on the break and gets a good shot on the 1. He gets a little awkward on the 4 in the corner with the 5 all the way up table on the other end rail. It looks like a draw shot, but Alex instead shoots a beautiful two rail force follow for shape, then runs out to go up 5-4.
 
Alex hits the break very solid, but comes up dry. Orcullo makes a nice shot on the 1 bridging over the 2 and makes another nice run out to tie it at 5-5.
 
Dennis breaks dry, but Alex has no shot on the 1. Alex opts for an off-angle combination on the 1-2, makes it, but gets hooked behind the 7. The 1 is near the pocket, and Alex plays rail first to make the 1. He plays safe on the 3 but it kisses off the 9 into the pocket, leaving a thin cut on the 4. Alex makes the 4 and goes forward three cushions for the 5, nearly scratching in the side. He gets out from there to go up 6-5.
 
Another dry break from Alex. Dennis pushes out for a long straight-in shot on the 1. Alex passes, and Dennis rolls in the 1, tries to bank the 2 around the table for a safe, but leaves Alex a shot. Alex misses the 2 and sells out. Dennis runs out to tie it at 6-6.
 
Dennis makes the 4 and 6 on the break, has a nice shot on the 1. Dennis has to settle for a long shot on the 3, cuts it in the corner with inside English (just a touch of inside), and runs out to get on the hill 8-6. Close to flawless pool from Dennis here.
 
Dennis makes the 1 and 6 on the break, but nearly scratches in the corner, with the cueball hanging on the lip of the pocket. Dennis pushes out. Alex passes, and Dennis plays safe, leaving a portion of the 2 for Alex. Alex banks the 2 straight back and gets shape on the 3. Alex runs out to make it 8-7 Dennis.
 
Alex makes the 7 on the break, has a tough cut on the 1 in the corner. Alex makes the 1, then a 2-6 combo, gets out of line on the 3 and has to bank the 4 cross corner. He makes the bank and gets out to make it hill-hill!
