***2015-Made Cues***

So far the best cue posted....not on this thread but the entire Forum.......is the GTB cue......it speaks of another era of cue-making with its design.........busy designs aren't enough otherwise Thomas Wayne would win hands down.........Nope, to be Cue of the year it has to be something special.........and the GTB sure is.........and it's gorgeous too.........I sure wish it was mine.

Matt B,

p.s. As I recall, the House Pro was looking into doing something for the Cue of the Year contest or that's what I recall from last Spring.

This cue is the epitome of tribute cues IMO. The ring work and
Originality in the inlay is just amazing. I love this cue

Thanks! From wrap to caps, Bob executed this cue perfectly. A lot of thought went into this cue and there's more than meets the eye even though to my eye, and yours at least, it sure is pretty :). I play with it regularly and it feels just like the ivory jointed Gus's I've owned and played with so the beauty in this cue is not only skin deep.

This is a hard one, as they always are. The cue of the year will be interesting. The GTB is excellent, as are the Black Boars, always great workmanship. The Hercek Gambler is erudite.

To me, cue of the year resonates design and theme. Design tends to be the easier part, as the more inlays, the better, if they are very well done. But I actually prefer the theme, and the theme that speaks to me is the past. For those a bit younger, the past includes largely, Herman, Frank, Gene, George, and Gus.

The one that takes both history and design, so far, is the Gus 2000. There is plenty of room, but this is the one that combines design and history. It's obviously a crowded field. As it should be.

All the best,
WW

Please don't take this the wrong way but you are the most pretentious, obnoxious person on this forum.

And to think that Thomas Wayne has spent over 30 years wasting his time making “busy designs”, when he could have been making copies of 4 point cues with dots and diamonds. No telling how many Best-of-Show awards he may have garnered, all the media attention, not to mention the countless collections his cues would have ended up in had he correctly envisioned the concept of what it takes to be something special.

Back to the purpose of this thread, great Manzino! Skins, you should be as happy as I would to own. I like the BBs as well. This should be another great contest.

Thanks for the support on the GTB. Every year their are killer cues made, by everyone. I won't be disappointed if it doesn't win, the cue was made for a purpose and it served that purpose.

It will be the only cue in the contest that George Balabushka partially built, and Gus Szamboti had a hand in. Which is ironic because without those two, who knows if we would even be here talking about this.

I wish the best to everyone and their submitted cues.

Jerry Rauenzahn 2015

Got this today, Jerry's version of Steve Mizerak's "DOVE" Balabushka cue.
