Man oh man my table will be set up in a few days and I'll be running up them numbers in no time, mine not you guys who are actually good

I got them side by side in the garage, sogaard and olhausen!

That's a great run, very nicely done!

I missed watching you in the senior EC on the stream, this year I refereed the Youth EC.

Late-night run of 113 just a few minutes ago (not at the pool hall, so no video, sorry!). All I had after the break was a pretty straightforward bank, but with tough position play, so I still managed to miss it. Wondering if I didn't forget to move the coin earlier in the run (at 42), so it may have been a run of 127, but can't be sure. Hot and sticky due to warm weather, tough to get the rack to open up on break shots, not too great for my brain either, it seems…

(Too bad I'm not participating in the Seniors EC anymore, not in the form of my life, of course, but would sure love to be able to play Straight Pool other than to occasionally practice by myself… Blimey, a kingdom for a league, LOL!)

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

put me down for a 41 on the impossitable on 9/1/2016.

video at:

yeah, my stance is goofy; busted up my right knee last week, so i can't keep it straight; using an Earl-type stance, with both knees bent for now until it heals.

Nice run Bob. Disappointing ending but otherwise very nice. In control throughout and stroke looked very good.
I'm going to Steinway friday and returning to Springfield sat. so can play some Sat. afternoon/night if you'll be around. Or come to NY with me if that fits your plans.

Milestone for me tonight, ran 42. That broke my previous record of 41. Then 2 runs later, ran a 50 :)

Awesome!

I just remembered this thread because of the current world 14.1 event, I can't believe this challenge is still going, this is awesome guys.

I almost have my home man cave up and running so I promise I'll be posting some videos and runs soon!

New High Run (23)

Last night, I had a high run of 23 in a match for my 14.1 League.

I took over the table with all 15 balls on it after my opponent had played safe on his break shot. I ran the rack, broke open the next and ran 9 balls before rattling a very simple rail shot in the corner pocket.

121

121 earlier this afternoon, my high or second-highest run of the year, and fourth over 100 this year since I started playing again in summer. Really only missed because I got impatient seeing I was already half an hour late to prepare dinner for the old folks - seriously, they'll sit there fork and knife in their hands, and merely snort impatiently when I'm telling them I ran three digits in a hurry. Starting to wonder if practicing when I'm constantly feeling rushed isn't counter-productive…

Greetings from Switzerland, David.

When it rains, it pours: late-night run of 136 (effectively November the 8th on this side of the pond). Really a bit miffed because my old eyes failed me: had no business missing a ball 4-5 inches from a pocket, undercutting it with inside English only because I wasn't sure if the cue ball passed between two balls (blurry edges where everything seems to be overlapping - there would have been space enough as it turned out…). :o

178

Sumone' posted I ran 181 but as I posted before the run is still 178. But hey call it what ever makes you feel better (or more in control).

Here's a link to a match that I played for my 14.1 League.

Bayshore Billiards 14.1 League. In the 3rd inning or so I run a 43, figured I haven't posted a video in a long while. This match was broadcast live on Facebook. NO PRESSURE...lol

I got kinda flat on the break shot, and I hit it with the speed for the head ball to lay up by the side. It fell short and I was left only with a bank. And all I can say is that I'm not from Kentucky...lol

Hope you all enjoy !!

High run

I was thinking of not getting in the new league at Red Shoes which is starting Wednesday. Can't play very long without taking ibuprofen due to bad ankles. Going back and forth. Don't practice much anymore, But I ran a 41 Friday and a 43 yesterday which happens to be my high run this year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5uLA5GN5tc

So, I am going to tough it out and play league. We have strongest league in quite a while. 34 players headed by Bobby Hunter, Tom Karabatsos, Ron Dobosenski, John Rawski, Ike Runnels, Mark Pratico, Dan Hayes, Ron Shepard, Ed Latimer, Dean Bass.

p.s. I tied Steve Kurtz for his high run ON VIDEO this year. ;)

Way to go, Dennis! Nice runs. Good to hear you're playing league. Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks. Too bad the holidays fall on Saturdays this year so I guess there won't be any 14.1 tournaments.

we'll have to meet up over at the Shoe. Let me know what week and when you might be there. You could see a lot of people you know on a Wednesday, but it might be a little crowded.
