SVB has had Kiamco's number for years, the last time he beat Shane was at the 2012 Johnny Archer Classic 11 games to 2. In multiple interviews Shane has stated that Kiamco has always been his easiest opponent. You never know with the old warrior though, he tends to go deep into these fields. You're right, would've been a great match for the TV table.
I smell an upset here by Warren over Shane

Warren's been losing too long in the H2H so he is due to win a match . If either one of them wins this match , they can more or less cruise to the semi . They both probably have the "easiest"matches of all the big guns
Jayson Shaw vs Ko Pin Yi 1st match up on stream 10am Qatar that's 3am Eastern, Midnight west coast time

Thanks . Looking forward to this. As Meatloaf would sing "1 out of 16 ain't bad"
That top bracket is ridiculous. Ko, Shaw, or Dennis will have a tough tough time winning the first three.
All things considered, Shane's part of the bracket isn't too bad.
Ko , Shaw, Dennis, Thorsten have the toughest draw of the big guns . Lee Van and Kevin Cheng also have it tough in bottoms quarter of draw. They have to take down 6 big monsters in a row to win the title. Even Hercules cannot do that.
Shane and Warren have the easiest . Even though at this stage there really are no easy matches. At least 40 to 50 guys can win whole thing
Hope old man Yang wins whole thing though that is asking a lot
I think one of the young guns will snap it this year - and the best young guns still in are Lil Ko, Johann Chua, Jeff Ignacio.
I doubt last year's finalists Ko and Shane feature in final. You need to not only be supergood but also superlucky to get into 2 consecutive finals in probably toughest draw of any pool tournament for last 5 years. Quarterfinal or semifinal at most for both for them
By end of day, only 16 will remain standing
Aug3- last 16 and last 8
Aug 4- semifinal and final
Ted Lerner has nice writeup on group stages
