"Can't believe John is making so many safety errors....
...not like him at all."

John looks tired...

Simply freaking incredible !
This must be biggest turnaround comeback of snooker or sports in recent years.
Selby was down 4 :10 and from there he only lost 1 out of 11 frames to now lead 14:11
That is unheard of .
This guy is just pure machine, has the toughest mental game
He is not technically the best but more importantly, he is the hardest working, the mega confidence and sheer will to win
Not my favorite player but I have to admire his ability to win

Selby is looking nervous and tentative but after making an 11-foot thin cut he had a good break to take the frame. Now 15-12

What did everyone think...did Selby hit that black?

I couldn't tell!

IF (and it is doubtful) the Black had actually moved, then it would have been through cloth transmission, NOT contact with White. At the speed played, had contact been made, it would have ended in a touching ball situation. Enough speed on White to leave a gap as it did would have been no doubt about contact.

Referee Jan Verhaas made the correct call though Selby fans will never accept that.

I should say also that I am ambivalent toward either player, but truthfully, I do tend to root for the "old guy" in any given match just 'cuz he's the "old guy". :)

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree, slightly disappointed that Selby questioned the ref tbh, its something that happens increasingly in snooker and never used to. Sometimes even if you know (or suspect) you've been wronged you should suck it up and respect the referee.

That said if it was me and I thought I'd hit it, I'd probably be dragged kicking and screaming out of the venue so I guess I can forgive him a bit ;-)

Ever heard of a "gentleman" they called Alex Higgins? You may have gotten on well with him....

Haha yeah well he was an exception!

Even Earl bought Michala flowers after their bust up...not sure Alex Higgins ever tried to kiss and make up :-)
